they are few shows worth watching but majority of Shows are being about Wife having someone else child . yes TV series should show But All TV showing same thing over and over again its sucks

For me Mat e jaan hai tu is one of the best Series ever

Pakistan film industry collapsed after producing too many movies about prostitutes in 1970s. Now TV serials are about women with children with different fathers.

Pakistani dramay are not as "never ending" as Indian ones...Our average drama serial is about 27 episodes!

So yes people get 1-2 hrs a day for some entertainment!

Some are about everyday life, marriage problems :

Rehaai is about child marriage and supporting women stand on own feet
Adha chehra was about acid burned female's life
Dil Diya Dhaleez is about feudal system and how stupid it sounds
Mera naseeb is about women and their luck esp marriages/ in laws coz 1 was married to a man who couldnt say no to his mom and other main actress was married to the spoilt playboy child of a feudal like lord both sons didnt have any backbone to say a wrong a wrong!
zindagi gulzar hai was about a woman's struggle without her father's help and only mom's support! Coz the father ONLY wanted a son!
mere merhbaan was about the life of some gals which is common in Pakistani society when woman become too old people start talking about them not getting married and also about a brother who was richer than his elder bro and his family did everything for show shaw and wanted sajji wi things and how they backfired also 1 of the actress's attitude of typical bahu of some people who dont wanna do any work but has a beautiful face while the poor brothers daughters were more seedhi sadhi! the sabar and its fruit!
Shanakth is about how a girl chooses to cover herself but being from a rich background she faced EVERY FORM of obstacle in trying to get accepted! And people say Pakistan is pro Islam....I have seen such families hence know how rich families view girls with headcovering...wanna be angraiz! lolz....I now say it as a joke! Coz angraiz say we are holy religious people while Pakistanis themselves cant swallow a woman covering her head as her choice! Just look at this forum and you will see these wanna be angraiz!
Dastan is a scary drama...I couldnt bring myself to watch all of it...It was about partitioning!
Aunn Zara is a little love comedy about 2 people brought together by faith even if they had different intentions...really hilarious!!

There are good dramas on air now and all based on best selling Novels, I like Dayar-e-Dil although story is modified not real novel story.

I usually do not get time to watch Dramas but I did watch this Drama (Pyaare Afzal) on web and find it a breath of fresh air. This drama get quite close to depicting the "rehan-sehan" of a common Pakistani lower middle class household, there were no out-of-context scenes as well as no vulgarity etc..just did not like the ending - seems a bit cruel.

Pakistani dramas are 20-25 episodes long and easily available on youtube, not that hard to follow
