I am not connecting the pix with "Indian downfall" article. Special forces commandos are best soldiers a coountry can train. They are not only stronger than average soldier but also more patriotic and proud. I think India must already be in deep down there if your ex-commandos are doing this, because even a poor Chinese farmer would bargain for a higher salary.

Well I cannot comment on their reasons. But generally people from the armed forces get decent pensions. I know because I know someone who worked as a sepoy and now draws a pension.

I do not subscribe to the theory that soldiers should be kept on a pedestal. They are a professional group who are given their due. They should not expect anything more or anything less.

If a country is poor it can still be dignified. But some posters are bragging here about your generous military spending, and repeatedly show off to military budget size of India's smaller neighbours.

I think it's a shame your ex-commandos are doing such cheap jobs for a few bucks from their enemy.

I don't consider the Chinese to be my enemy. You surely don't think that this Indian friend is your enemy.
