ok a small info from my side. India has a very potent counter hacking team. It is call CERT or computer emergency response team. it functions under Dept of IT under ministry of communications.
apart from that each arm of indian armed forces have their own emergency response teams. obviously the level of their proficiency wont be much but i am sure we r going in rigfht direction.

I really wonder our F-ing Army reads......Doesn;t it read the plans or projections/foresights of other Military Doctrines? Cyber warfare is a the realm of modern warfare and it is seen as a potent offensive/defensive weapon for any country small or bug. Even if we have no plans to use this offensively (lol) we have to be able to counter attack....what a bunch of bloody jokers

Who told you we have nothing to counter an attack? Research before you make retarded comments.
What do you have? I think you shoal research before you call my comments retarded......Whatever we have is very inadequate, plus it has been policy to do something in the cyber warfare sphere for the past 2 yrs......Take a god look at the quality of Pakistani and Chinese hackers......Look at how CBI sites were defaced and how long it took to fix...

I was a little disappointed having not seen a single word about China or Chinese mentioned on the article. Misterme2 eased it up for me though. 
Yes indeed, cyber warfare is very much a part of modern warfare and if used wisely can be extremely effective for crippling operations and for espionage. It is also something that is extremely difficult to prevent against, otherwise we wouldn't be hearing the similar stories from America over and over again. Try imagining being constantly hacked by the wǔmáo dǎng or have them constantly send you packages? You will need a lot of men power and dedicated teams of IT professionals to counter that for sure.

No worries buddy. I wasn't offended because you was merely stating the facts in a civil manner (unlike the usual trolls) and I agree with you. China do have a potent force of hackers and there's no denying that.
Yeah bro I agree.....China is a force to reckon with in the Cyber sphere....No question.....It just bothers me how someone young like myself, not in the military can have more foresight than the Indian military? I mean I am not the only one who feels these are issues that should have been thought out and planned yrs, yrs, ago...Am I? Whenever a new technology comes out, don;t they have a think tank like DARPA that ponders what uses that particular technology offers in peaceful and military applications? if they do....those idiots are doing a crappy job.....a very crappy job......its like they are not even keeping up with the latest advancements in the West....at least China analyzes what the West is up to, then embarks on an ambitious plan almost immediately.....More importantly, they never wait too long to allow the West to gain any momentum.
