India insults Pakistani FM on his maiden official tour to India for SCO Meetup

Muslims of India should realise that its in their benefit to think beyond their religion. When I see them support the biggest mafia of Uttar Pradesh who just happened to be muslim because of their religion, I seriously feel doubts on their character.
Nobody supported a murdering assassin. The objection was to the disgraceful way in which he was assassinated.
When they proudly do janaza of convicted terrorists in Mumbai, that creates trust deficit between us and them.
Of course it does.

BJP and Sangh Parivar characters garlanding convicted murderers, greeting convicted rapists released by changing the rules, and mingling freely with rioters is different, of course. It is unthinkable that we from the Sanatan Dharma can do wrong.

You can have your opinions, but you have no right to call yourself oppressed while committing all sorts of violent crimes.
Surprising what appears in the mirror when people like you look into it.

The thread is all over the place @Joe Shearer (sorry I first confused which thread you meant, there is another one I will avoid).

Is there specific part you need me to comment on?

In the end, the SCO is more or less a pretty silly organisation to begin with, mostly to soak up time for these politicians in "diplomat" arena....and Jaishankar is a big discredit to his country for acting like this....but its nothing new, its not a bug, its a feature.

i.e it of course cheers/riles up the mob he is playing/pandering to in the peanut gallery.

If serious capable administrations come to both countries and as many folks as possible in both feel assuaged/satisfied by a process they set up....there can be something productive done in a bilateral fashion that matters.

Till then this is all just cheap circus theatrics designed to point fingers at who started what first.... things that have been talked about at length already but I guess some are new to it or like to circle the drain again on it...shrug.

No, at that moment, I was totally pissed off by the resident Sanghis and just wanted to let off steam. Sorry.

This Topic still going on?!!

Do we really need to give Bilawal any more coverage?

People..., move on.

Cool down Joe. You are not hurt any one but yourself.

How are you doing?

On topic, I do not think delegation from Pakistan deserve any welcome or preferential treatment but, there is a difference between diplomat and common man.

I know, I know.

I'm not well, no point talking about it.

About what happened, it's a forum where members have a right to be, wherever the venue. Once they have a right to be there, they have to be treated right.

Now there was a lot going on outside. Some young idiot gave an interview to two sets of people, the BBC being one, and tried to keep it covert, to be released on air only after he had left. Only our squirt got to learn about it, and decided to turn on the charm tap. What we saw was him at his charming best.

I don't know, I think it might have been handled differently. Make the points made, but not necessarily in quite so abrasive a manner. Maybe I'm wrong.

Remember that young idiot does not know a minuscule iota of diplomacy. We must not feel bad about how someone is treated, knowing that someone in a position where restraints and polished words in the public domain are the pre-requisite for the job.

As you've said "MAY BE"

I'd not sweat and stress for guest MEA.

No, you're right. Not worth sweating it. but left a bad taste in my mouth.

You know, when I was forty years younger, there was no question about these things. I was Indian and felt cocky about it, poor country and all taken on board. I was a Hindu, and confident and secure and not bothered about what others thought, because we were the most relaxed and most tolerant of all the people around. There were some scumbags who thought differently but they were so clearly sub-human we never paid them any attention. At one school, I had Sardar and Naga friends. At the next, that I passed my exams from, there were Jews, Armenians, and other exotics. Nafisa Ali, much younger, was the water-baby we all doted on, and her being Muslim was so totally irrelevant. After school, I'd hang out with a very close friend, whose people had come from Iran four or five generations before. Nobody told me I was different or supposed to stay away. There were two close Parsi friends, and we got on well, since I had been carefully briefed that all Bawas were crazy, and I would have to go easy.

I hero-worshipped my school captain, the grandson of the Nawab of Chhatri. His sister had married into a Pakistani family, and I blinked a bit at that, but thought it interesting that he had a different country that he could go home to, and that was that.

After passing school, before joining college, a friend and I decided to swash a little and buckle a little, so we pinned two plastic hammer and sickles onto our shirts and strutted into school, and the vice-principal. an elderly Anglo-Indian, known to be a tartar, saw us, barely to keep a straight face, and said, "Ah, we are fired up for the revolution, are we? Why haven't you collected your character certificates?" That kind of let our air out a bit.

What happened to that world?

It's happening everywhere. I see the same trend everywhere ...in Asia, Europe and in the Americas. Social fabrics have been systematically destroyed in the name of unity/ diversity/ inclusion and the opposite is happening.

A friendly advise, going against our teaching (my father always says, do not advise people without a request) .... Wake up early (you already have), go for a morning walk with your dog!

17th onwards.

Change of diet, sleep (with sleeping tablets) by midnight, minimum of 5,000/5,500 steps a day. I've planned it, let's see.

Modi is like a larger than life Godfather that India never had after Gandhi

In order to win Indians over, Bilawal will have to publicly suck his tiny winy you know what

Even then Modi and gang will not be happy, cuz their entire existence relies on hating muslims and minorities

That's irrelevant and just your imagination.

Pakistan needs to understand that India has become one of the largest economies of the world and is increasingly viewed as an alternative market to China that is worthy of economic investments.

Pakistan desired a solution to Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) as per the subcontinent partition rule since 1948, to no avail. Imran Khan did his best to highlight situation of IOK with Hindutva narrative in the mix on international platforms but there are no serious takers on this issue.

So what is the way forward from here? Continue to struggle economically or find a way forward with different countries to rebuild Pakistan's economy? Pakistan has to look beyond China, Russia, Afghanistan, and Iran to develop a viable economy. Pakistan has to find a way to invite Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from multiple countries and develop its industrial capability to stimulate its EXPORTS regime.

Sorry guys! You can either have conflict or prosperity. Take your pick.
can you create the balance, our leadership is not sesnible enough to create import balance. We already lost cottage industry and small industry due to influx of Chinese good and rest we handover to India. Right now Paksitan don t produce or export anything . We are consumer based economy and this is disaster. Small local industry need to boast to generate employment. Otherwise these shorterm measure will eventually destroy Pakistan.
End up either hold Chinese hand or Indian hand and compromise your security...choice is yours.

Jaishankar that he schooled Zardari Bhutto?
Schooling at Post SCO presser? If he really had to, he could have schooled in giving interviews to media outlets where journalists do provoke the guests afterwards.

He didn't schooled just a personality; the hostility from Pakistani side is specific to individuals in office generally but he actually insulted a nation and termed the foreign ministry to be a spokesperson of terrorism. I do not think any person objective enough of diplomatic norms, would even if provked do it at a press briefing regarding a multinational meeting where you yourself invited a nation and then called them out.

If MEA truly believes Pakistan to be what it alleges, it should have simply denied giving DIPLOMATIC visas to Pakistani delegation. From what I know, India presents it's credentials to the President of the so called 'Terror factory' and comfortably abides whenever they are called to the MoFA.

I would love to compare the so called hostile interview vis a vis the so called schooling in reply side by side.

It is important to keep in mind one is career diplomat while another is a novice who has relatively zilch experience how to conduct yourself as a representative of a nation.
