We already have Airbase in Ayni Air Base (Tajikistan). Same logic but still there. But No ACF deployed yet.

Why some people don't understand that every Pact is not about WAR and Fight. Having good relations with Mongolia is in Interest of India , we are just reviewing your foreign policy .we are as a nation rising and we wish to have co-operation with as many countries as we can.

India has never said that strategic relations with US or west come at a cost of relations with Russia. Indo-Russian strategic relation may be the the most important for our country. Diplomatic relations between countries are not based on emotions but on what each nation gets out of that.

This is amazing.... a simple post of inking a cooperation treaty gets a CCP-zombie starting to think that there is going to be a countering threat against his regime (not his country). No wonder you Chinese are so insecure about everyone around you. Love the prominent notice we get from Chinese regularly trying to convince everyone of their superiority but get ashen-faced always.

India also inked a nuclear pact with South Korea for peaceful uses of atomic energy and another agreement on cooperation in defence with Mongolia."We will work with South Korea and move forward to strengthen bilateral ties. There is going to be a conference on nuclear conference in South Korea and India will participate in that," Patil said."


So far Mongolia is concerned, we already have a MoU with them in civil nuclear cooperation," she said, adding that a team from Mongolia will soon come to India for further discussion in this regards.The President said as "nuclear energy is very important to India", New Delhi underlined the need to further the economic partnership."Mongolia is mineral rich country especially in steel and uranium. I have impressed upon (their) leadership that it is for mutual benefit that we move together," Patil pointed out.


India has also signed a MoU on media exchanges with the two nations.She said during the "friendly and productive" meetings with the presidents and other leaders of both the nations, "there was a clear desire to expand and deepen relations with India." "I fully reciprocated these sentiments and indicated that we wanted to take our strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea and our comprehensive partnership with Mongolia to a higher trajectory," the President underlined."President Lee and I agreed to enhance defence and security cooperation between our two countries including naval cooperation to protect the sea lanes of communication," she said.

If China can have its playthings around India, I don't think it can do anything to stop us from having friendly ties with Mongols.

Friendly ties some times didn't accommodate deliberate defense ties. China will not react over any friendly ties but if there will be touch of any defense cooperation which could threaten China's regional interest then they will do everything not to let it go in Mongolia. India may proceed and get experience.

Reaction? Like what? Invasion? . On a serious note, China is already doing what it feels it has to do by helping your country survive, aiding Lankans and propping BNP and Jamaati types in Bangladesh. It is very much within its rights to do what it feels to secure its interests. While we are enhancing ties with Southeast Asian countries like Cambodia, Burma, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam as well as Japan and South Korea. If these countries in Chinese opinion can't do anything against China, the same is applicable for the Chinese backed countries in South Asia.

It is a game that two can play. China is welcome to try its luck here, while we are not staying put either. Simple.

Indian generally dependent on US in its defense ties with south east Asian countries while India only will exacerbate south east Asian plot and nothing else.
