I've always wondered about this.

Have you seen any demand for a freedom referendum from the local Kashmiris who are languishing in democracy and freedom? Whilst Indian occupied Kashmiris are being brutalised, murdered and tortured, blinded by pellets, raped daily the Pakistani Kashmiris pray for the day when the Indian occupied Kashmiris will be free from oppression.

But if it is "Azad" Kashmir, why is it answerable to Pakistan? Shouldn't you let them be a separate country? Just like attaching "Bahadur" before someone's name doesn't make him brave, attaching "Azad" before a state doesn't make it free.

The term Azad in Azad Jammu & Kashmir refers to the territory of Kashmir that is not under Indian occupation. Secondly, most of the people living in AJK's southern districts are ethnically Punjabi, while the northern districts are ethnically Hindkowan for the most part.

They share more in common with people in Punjab and Hazara division of KP than the Kashmir Valley.

Not only was India embarrassed at the UN Human Rights Council over Kashmir, just a few days later Dalit Women ripped them a new hole as well.

It's good if Dalits are highlighting their grievances. They have suffered centuries of discrimination and continue to do so.

As far as Kashmir is concerned, India is not going to budge - your country should have accepted the land offered to it in the 1960s and ended the dispute - India would have kept Ladakh and Jammu. But no, you wanted it all.

No it doesn't matter....After US pulled out of it...it has lost its sheen and teeth. What do you think will change or happen ?....nothing.

It is ironic to see that so called HR violation are allegedly happen in Gaza and Kashmir....and neither of these countries US/Israel or India give a damn, cause they know UNHRC is a dead horse now....

I strongly encourage this mindset for Indians as its a clear Pakistani victory. The comparison with Israel is interesting too. You claim that US/Israel don't care, yet records show that they spend billions on lobbying/bribing and protesting against UNHRC and other smaller organisations. If anything, Trump and Israel have taught us that narratives and international image is everything.
