648 tonnes patrol vessel. Indian Coast Guard ships have larger tonnage than this. Do you know how large sonars can even be accomodated in this? I tried to google it and it has only 2 ASW variant. Navies with dedicated ASW corvettes and frigates find it tough to play submarine warfare. And BD with two tiny vessels with limited sonar range will be able to detect subs easily? They are useless in large oceans and "good" only for shallow waters.

WIth 1 sub, Myanmar will use it for training purposes only and not for war. If war is looming I believe Burma Airforce will more than effectively dominate from the skies.

Do Bangladeshis really think they are so important to India? India already has investments in Sitwe Port in Myanmar that gives connectivity to the Northeast. And the ironic thing is Bangladesh's economy benefits more from Northeastern connectivity projects through Bangladesh.

At that time our Su-30 SM and JF-17 with C-802AK will be also waiting from sky and will say hello as soon as they appeared in our radar. it could be hundred km away before detecting our sub. C-802AK and Su-30 may be an overkill for such tiny ships and heli?
