Bytes and bits. You're talking about bytes. There's approximately 10 bits to a byte.

My wife has no issues if i download **** , just as long as the kids dont walk in while i am at the sys,

I download at 6 megabytes per second depending on the source, but I think most of these guys are talking about megabits.

They are talking about Internet plans 1 MBPS, 2 MBPS, 4 MBPS
It doesn't mean they get 4 mbps downloading speed it'll be around 200-300 kbps

things have improved but still its very slow in Mumbai if I compare the broadband speed with UK and Holland! ...Personal experience and not heard/read feedback.

Indeed.In my village even 3g doesnt cross 100 kbps but in big cities even 2g acts like 3g.lol
