why are you getting confused between armed forces and technology?
Armed forces are there to protect country no matter from where they get their arms. only thing that counts is to, be a potent force.

Tharoor tears into China over 'irritant articulations'

Minister of State for External Affairs Sashi Tharoor on Tuesday (November 10) took on China over its recent provocative statements saying that the talk of India not learning the lessons from 1962 is a bit silly. Tharoor added that India is far from 1962 and history doesn't always repeat itself.

Tearing into China Shashi Tharoor said, "Talk of India not learning lessons from 1962 is silly.We are far from 1962 and history does not always repeat itself. We are not woefully prepared as we were in 1962 and such language will not help. China's articulations in recent weeks has been nothing but an irritant."

According to a report published in China's state-run newspaper Global Times, Hu Shisheng, a researcher at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relationseven said that India seems to have forgotten the lessons of 1962 war.

Hu was quoted to have said,"India may have forgotten the lesson of 1962, when its repeated provocation resulted in military clashes warning. India is on this wrong track again...When the conflict gets sharper and sharper, the Chinese government will have to face it and solve it in a way India has designed."

In my personal view China will be a strong country in the near future but will always feel the emptiness of not being taken seriously on the world forum. India is of no comparison to China economically China is and will be ahead of us. China in spite of all their success is still not in the top league in terms of acceptance and Chinese know how bad it hurts. What China has achieved is phenomenal and unparallel in history but the cost they have paid is of individual freedom and thought. It will take then generations to come out of this if the communist leaders want that to happen.

On the other hand India is a nation with lot of history, tradition and culture but no conviction in the principle and policy of state. Our leaders are having a party and all the country has achieved is due to individual brilliance. We are a nation of hard working and brilliant people but not innovators. We enjoy our freedom and stretch it a bit too far. As people of poor country we want to secure our immediate future and livelihood. So can't think big and this will never get over till we address the poverty of masses. Our biggest problem is our corrupt leaders and illiterate masses. Huge government funding is needed in this area.

China & India together account for 40+ percent of world population and together we can do a lot if we decide to collaborate and act together in the world forums. No corporate or country can ignore our collective strength. We will be stronger than any trading pact in the world. This will not happen unfortunately due to hegemonic approach of China and touch me not attitude of India. World power will never allow this to happen they will black mail us against each other to meet their interest. We as fools will jump up and down citing mine is bigger than yours attitude. We may build some roads and building and drive some big cars but will not be taken seriously in the world stage even after another 25 years.

Pakistani friends here are on a feel good trip so I don't want to respond to them. Sometimes it is we ruled on you 1000 years or the powerful Muslim fellowship or good friend China anything as long as make you feel good. So carry on …….

On 1 October 1967, a group of Indian Gurkha Rifles soldiers (from the 7th Battalion of the 11th Regiment) noticed Chinese troops surrounding a sentry post near a boulder at the Chola outpost in Sikkim. After a heated argument over the control of the boulder, a Chinese soldier bayoneted a Gurkha rifleman, triggering the start of a close-quarters knife and fire-fight, which then escalated to a mortar and HMG duel. The Chinese troops had to signal a ceasefire just after three hours of fighting, but later scaled Point 15450 to establish themselves there. The Gurkhas outflanked them the next day to regain Point 15450 and the Chinese retreated across the LAC
