HDI is counted by foeticide, infanticide, etc something which common man doesn't partake in which bumps down Pakistans rating...
Believe me Pakistanis live 10x better than Indians.
There is a golden Quote:
Better to let people doubt that you are stupid by remaining shut than to open your mouth and dispel all the doubts.
HDI is counted on three axes of Life expectancy, Educational achivement and Income. No one get extra credit for Foeticide.
A long and healthy life: Life expectancy at birth
Education index: Mean years of schooling and Expected years of schooling
A decent standard of living: GNI per capita (PPP US$)
In its 2010 Human Development Report, the UNDP began using a new method of calculating the HDI. The following three indices are used:
1. Life Expectancy Index (LEI) = \frac{\textrm{LE} - 20}{82.3-20}
2. Education Index (EI) = \frac{\sqrt{\textrm{MYSI} \cdot \textrm{EYSI}}} {0.951}
2.1 Mean Years of Schooling Index (MYSI) = \frac{\textrm{MYS}}{13.2}[7]
2.2 Expected Years of Schooling Index (EYSI) = \frac{\textrm{EYS}}{20.6}[8]
3. Income Index (II) = \frac{\ln(\textrm{GNIpc}) - \ln(100)}{\ln(107,721) - \ln(100)}
Finally, the HDI is the geometric mean of the previous three normalized indices:
\textrm{HDI} = \sqrt[3]{\textrm{LEI}\cdot \textrm{EI} \cdot \textrm{II}}.
