India gets set to mount diplomatic offensive on Pak

Armed with sufficient material on the terror attacks in Mumbai to nail Pakistan, India will mount a diplomatic offensive from Monday by convening a two-day closed door meeting in New Delhi with the heads of all foreign countries' missions in the national capital as part of strategy to get Pakistan declared as a 'terrorist State'.

Both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will interact with ambassadors and high commissioners stationed in Delhi and discuss with them the problem of the repeated terror attacks planned and executed by their masters sitting in neighbouring countries.

The exercise is to convince foreign governments that Pakistan would continue to harbour terrorists that pose a danger not only to India but to all other countries and to pressurise it to take effective steps for getting rid of all terrorist outfits and camps and not allowing them the base to regroup under new names.

Evidence of the involvement of the Pakistan Army's secret agency, Inter Service Intelligence, in the Mumbai attacks as also in the attack on the Indian mission in Kabul and other attacks will also be presented at the meeting to convince foreign governments that all efforts to banish terrorists from Pakistan will fail so long as they continue to get patronage and support of ISI, sources in New Delhi said.

Diplomats will also be provided the evidence gathered about the Mumbai terror attacks as also on various other incidents of terrorism, sources added.

A compact disc containing the evidences gathered so far in the 26/11 incident, including the information gathered from interrogation of the lone surviving terrorist Ajmal Kasab, will be presented to the diplomats.

Sources said the CD and other material is also being sent to all Indian missions abroad to present them to the respective governments as part of the diplomatic offensive India is now mounting to build an international pressure on Pakistan.

Mukherjee will talk to the diplomats on Monday, setting the tone of the two-day meeting to be held in the DRDO complex in New Delhi, while Dr Manmohan Singh will address the assembled heads of the foreign mission on Tuesday after they get a thorough briefing from a team of officials from the foreign ministry and security and intelligence agencies.

Since the Mumbai Police is primarily handling the investigations of the 26/11 attack that left about 200 killed, one of its senior officers may also be present at the meeting to answer to any queries by the diplomats.

This is not Joking. According to the report they will show all the hard evidence related to Mumbai attack and the Kasab's confessions to all the foreign diplomats of all countries. Now, India will try to convince all the countries that this attack came from Pakistan. I think it is a good decision to do this instead of a war, to isolate Pak on international fora if it doesn't act on terrorist camps.

i think if India is sharing gathered intell with the world, we all should be happy because the merit of the case would come out. I would also say war is NOT going to happen becasue US needs Pak forces in war on terror and they can't afford to lose grip on Taliban which would happen in such a event. I also think US has sufficient leverage and control on both India and Pakistan. In India the recently passed nuclear deal proves US influence inside where the ruling govt was on verge of collapse and suddenly a new equation emerged. US at the end of day is controlling crucial events like war in this continent.

India had tried hard to sell its version of entire bollywood style but still the world is not believing instead they are using Mumbai incident for own interests so there is nothing new if India still try to convince the world to believe what is attributed to kasab.

That's not an option anymore for GOP since it has helped IND digging its own graveyard by letting IND gets a resolution in UN against JUD. Now GOI is throwing all of its might to pound, spin on that resolution JUST to bring the people of PAK on their knees and surrender their IDEOLOGY that glues the entire nation together. Moreover, that resolution along with phony admission of Qasab has given IND, war criminals a great advantage to insult PAK's injury further, so people of it can be bleed more through drone attacks and army's operation against TTP gets disrupted while it gets a trump card to scare/smear PAK on Kashmiri blackmail. In the mean time Indian people's attention get diverted from their internal rife and BJP gets upper hand over Cong. in upcoming election. SO IT IS LIKE KILLING MANY BIRDS THROUGH ONE STONE. And there is no need for further discussion on the motive behind Mumbai attack anymore since 'Enemies of Islam's' move in its aftermath has fit in its grand strategy against PAK and Islam.

The cardinal rule of investigating a crime

Thou shalt not thy evidence to thy enemy

If India's says that Pakistan is involved in the 26/11 terror attack and has evidence to prove Pakistan's involvement, how wise would it be to show those very evidences to the suspect.

Common sense and basic logic would tell you that in any investigation the prosecutor reveals the evidences to the court not to the accused in private.

Pakistan demanding that it be shown the evidence of an ongoing investigation when it itself is the suspect is laughable.

As far as US approving the evidence, I believe that US has been trying to find an excuse to expand the so called 'war on terror' into Pakistan. The US is loving this Mumbai tragedy.

I am already so depressed with what's happening in Northern parts of Pakistan. Beautiful people, beautiful sights... all being destroyed. That is as much a 'human tragedy' as much as what happened in Mumbai.

Its just that the history is written by the winner and opinions are formed by what the strong say. We just need to work on improving our own country.

China alone is sufficient to block the approval of evidences in the UN. It is the only Asian country to have veto power and is the best-est friend of your country.

Yet China did not block this ban - What kind of a friend is China? A real friend would not have treated his "friend" like this this
