if you see the recent indian wars/skirmishes, they have concentrated on getting international support before the war and during the war. True that India has borders with China and Pakistan but China's borders arent exactly filled with its allies either.

China and India going to war is very bleak even when Pakistan and India are at war. because chinese interests wont be harmed by either.

We fought India while got sanctioned by both USA and USSR in 1962, the situation was far more dangerous for China back then.

Now Russia will stay neutral, and they won't be worried about losing India as their biggest weapon customer, since we can easily subsidize them for the business that they may lose with India.

North Korea still depends on us, and South Korea cannot lose us as their trading partner.

Vietcong doesn't want to be fully against us, while Philippines is weak, only Japan is our nearest enemy.

But no one will stand up for India, since they know it will all be in vain.

I understand the idea was not an original one - Indians need to thank China - China showed the way by getting a pat from Nixon in 1972 going against another commi big brother - USSR. Atleast Indians seem to jump up when Indian media talks about India/Japan or India/US cooperation - unlike Chinese who jumped up and down for a simple ping-pong game with U.S team that they shelved a military solution for Taiwan and agreed upon a peaceful solution.
