Pakistan will push for Chinese membership again during the Islamabad summit. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka support our position. SAARC can't be allowed to become Bharat's swimming pool. China has a 7000km long border with South Asia and has money to spend on development through its new bank.

Thanks for Pakistan's position and support from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. I believe China will help boost the regional economy after joining SAARC with more initiatives like this:

China welcomed India into APEC and SCO. I hope this kind of magnanimity can be reciprocated by India. Otherwise, India stands to lose a lot if it won't make an effort to shed its contemptible reputation as a dog in the manger.

The new govt is keen to improve relations with China & if you toss aside the opinion of Internet Warriors you will find that our 2 countries are cooperating a lot & ties are improving every year

I support you on this,it's not Like SAARC countries can depend on a Pakistan to fund their development.India is doing a lot but more hell is required

We will simply dissolve SAARC

We dont need it ; SAARC is irrelevant :p:

our policy makers actually said what you said, really. That's hard to believe, and made up. Those "intrusions" are just your media doing what it always does, and apparently what you are doing, spewing things that are just not true. We got an article on invisible planes by India just within the hour, and I see Indian members pointing out that it is not true, god knows what a politically biased media would use to slender the other party.

I'm not sure what a dog in the manger is, so, hard to imagine why any Chinese would use that word.

Are you capable of reading the article? Also Sri Lanka's new president just approved the port, and everything else is going as planned, he has done nothing that would hamper Chinese interests. So if you want to take the word of a politician over realities, that's up to you.

Seems that you are the one who is replying in a hurry without reading the article, Mahinda Rajapakshe is the ex president of Srilanka. Maithripala Sirisena is the current one. He is the one who is re looking Chinese investments and making sure India is not alienated. I don't know which politician u are talking of here, whose words i am taking. Funny really.

Everybody in South Asia wants to take down the elephant! India's bullying days are over. Liberation of Kashmir is coming soon.

India has a history of bullying and subverting fellow South Asian states, we will prefer China any day over a wannabe hegemon, who has no money to spend. A country that can't feed its own people can't grantee the development of South Asia. Pakistan will push for Chinese membership all over again during the upcoming Islamabad summit otherwise we will make sure it becomes another failure. China has legitimate role to play in South Asia because Pakistan wants it to and the fact that it has the investment readily available to complete the projects that SAARC wants to achieve.
