India fears Chinese encirclement, citing 'overwhelming' Sino presence in South Asia

This aint 1962.
Ever wonder why India is building up such a huge Navy?

I am not saying China fears us. What I am trying to say is that China does not fear us with their Oil passing through our waters, hence, we have ZERO fear of any of Chinese activities.

You may then bring up objections by India to CPEC or OROB but then China also objects to a lot of things of India. this does not point to fear but geo-politics.

Hope the clarification is sufficient.
You do fear there presence in indian ocean .thats the reason why you keep discussing so called "string of pearls of dragon" ( u even fancy named it) .this is the reason why you keep pressurizing Bangladesh or srilanka for their deals with China .

Now we are going in circles.
I have already addressed that. Even US is taking steps to counter China in SCS, does it mean US is afraid of China?
China was objecting to Australia joining India, US & Japan in war games, does it mean they were pissing with fear?

I recommend you to watch your own tv channels especially the debates about China in which your own retited militarymen & defence analysts are present .either they are over acting kr you are lying.

They love to portray themselves as some kind of bulwark against the "autocratic red Chinese menace". It is often mentioned by their elite that they are the only country capable of 'balancing' out China.

Forget economic, social and military development , the weight of democracy and freedom swings the scales firmly in India's favour and Chinese can only look on enviously.

Of course, all of us have been subjected to such lectures ad nauseum.

In my view purpose of any form of government is to provide services and work for the betterment of people, society and state.

So, obviously, indians having the biggest democracy is working out for them fine... look at the comprehensive national development, advancement of Human Condition and overall contributions to science and technology for betterment of all Humanity that indians have made for last 70 years alone.

There is so much that we all, China and the West, can learn from the indian experience.

Yes, indeed, it is better to confess our envy and uncontainable jealousy.

Only thing left for us mortals is to seek our Centre and clear the muddy waters by leaving them alone...

But then world is dull without our indian friends in it.

. .
Yes. Pakistan is afraid of India. That's why clinging on from one power to another. And cheerleading for them. US in 7-90's and China from now on.
lol India cheerleads Russia.

Pakistan and Chinese are allies, you ignorant runt. lol

My post was stating the facts that India has nothing to feel threatened about China since most of Chinese Oil gets to China using our waters.

No Chinese vessels transporting oil go through Indian waters, But they do through the waters of Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Not only commercial vessels but military ones as well including nuclear submarines of the PLAN, On top of that Chinese also have invested in strategic ports in each of those countries mentioned

On the contrary, Usually when Indian poachers enter waters of Pakistan or Sri Lanka illegally they go back with cracked skulls or worse sometimes in body bags

And there is absolutely nothing India can do or have done about it cos it's not "your" waters as you falsely assume

Yes, China is investing in Sri Lanka (Colombo, Hambantota), Pakistan (Karachi, Gwadar), Bangladesh (CTG), Myanmar and all over the world, in fact two-thirds of global container traffic passes through Chinese owned/invested ports, below is a map of some Chinese owned/invested/built/operating ports (too many, so only some are listed). In IOR, Colombo is #1 largest port.

Just like China owns world's largest shipping lines, largest shipbuilding industry, largest port equipment industry or largest tanker fleet, when it comes to port multinationals most are also from China, including Hutchison Port Holdings, China Merchants, COSCO Pacific, China Shipping Terminal Development, Evergreen. See list of ports just for Hutchison Port Holdings alone:

Well as world's largest industrial base and biggest exporter, it's essential to knit a global web of maritime assets in order to move things around, great to partner with SL in the business.

Speaking of SL, just checked WSC again, 2015 data already available: http://www.worldshipping.org/about-the-industry/global-trade/top-50-world-container-ports. Colombo has risen by two spots to #28 worldwide, volume increased to 5.19 million TEU, congrats! I still hold my previous forecast that 2016 volume could've surpassed 6 million TEU, ranking at world #25 or higher. Colombo is indeed a crown jewel in IOR, a pride of SL, wish good luck to all Lankan bros!

They must be very holy-cowly shocked to read the truth from you. But to save their face, they will continue their denial mode. They just keep coming, remember they have over one billion ignorant people.

Propaganda piece by the Chinese! Don't they realise that India is a superpower and China is nothing compared to them? o_O

Perhaps you fail to understand the term blockade.

SL waters? Are they like 1000 miles away from Indian waters?
What do you think SL or Bangladesh will do when India decides to enforce the blockade. You can bet your waters that this is the first thing India will do in case China does something funny.

Now coming to Pakistan waters, What do you think they can do to help you out in case of a blockade?

The reason for desperation of China to get naval bases in SL & Pakistan is precisely this death trap India can lay for China. Cut off the oil and the Military machinery of China will come to a stand still.

India will not dare attack China - This is a fact.
China will not dare attack India - This is also fact because of the reasons I have mentioned.

Or may be the arm chair tacticians probably are of the opinion that the Indian Navy is here to make way for Oil Tankers to China even after they attack us.
You lot are extremely funny :D
