India eyes Russia to overcome ammunition shortage

If the Indian posters here care to read their auditor general's yearly report, they'll be surprised that the quality of India's indigenous ammunition production borders poor. Year after year, the standards are not improved and Indian Army would always seek foreign lots for their training even. Indian Ordnance Factor Board generally gets the loose end of the stick.

It indeed is a sad state of affairs.

DR"DO", the only offspring of DR"BRAG" and DR"TROLL" , is, or more precisely in Indian context "WILL" be, busy at futuristic bullets and can not be bothered with very basic issues such as WW2 level bullets on which it has no much clue in the first place.

advanced technology three dimensional bullets (ATTDB) with high kill efficiency

Thanks for showering crocodile sympathies .... however the word quality is always "relative" and not "absolute " ... compared to Pakistani/chinese standards i am pretty sure the quality of India's indigenous ammunition is very high , however compared to standards of Russian,EU or US , yes may be they lack ... which will be addressed too not to worry ...

Atleast this time we should absorb the technology so that our indigenous systems will be as capable as weapons from west .
