What's new

India establishes High-Speed Rail Corporation

Tell me you just referred to Wiki. Bhopal Shatabdi's MPS is 150 Kmph. Though it can go more. The trains engineer aren't given the privilege to cross the MPS. MPS = Maximum Permitted Speed. Likewise, the other Shatabdis and Durontos do have a MPS of 120 - 130 Kmph, and express trains like, Brindavan Express, Coromandel Express have a MPS of 110 Kmph. Passengers trains in some of them have the privilege to go 110 kmph.

In India,we have to impose speed limits.Indian Railway has aged a lot.neither these lines are ideal for high speed rails, nor it is suitable as these trains travels through thick population habitats.any major rail accident could perish hundreds,if not thousands.we don't have space to implement Transrapid or any such fancy projects.most of the time,we've to implement these projects either underground,or over or around the existing projects.so,safety matters.

plus, with high speed, comes top fare.I wonder what is the fare rate of any Chinese High Speed Rail??can you compare it with the existing Indian railway fare chart for Local trains I gave to you??

 just another failed Indian project that won't get competed before 2035.

These little Indians can only boast about these kind of projects on paper, it never happens in reality.

India is the most corrupt country on this planet, none of the HSR will get built and all the funds will be in the Swiss bank accounts of the corrupt Indian politicians.

These Indians will never progress, it's their nature. They represent the worst qualities of any group of people on this planet.

We have heard about these grandiose projects for how long now? How many get done? Hardly any.

You can't fix these people, that's why we should let Indians live in their habitat and enjoy their dreams. When you have nothing, dreaming is the only thing you have left, this is why Indians are only dreamers and not achievers.

A Japanese-sponsored study is being carried out to look at the possibility of running Rajdhani trains at up to 200km/h between Delhi and Mumbai.
200 km/h?? That's 'high speed'?
surprised-014.gif
The TGV which is a couple of decades old runs at an average 300km/h!

So what's the big deal? By the time these so called 'high speed' trains start their ops, it would be another 10 years. Speeds of other trains round the world would have reached 500km/h by then!

France was still an extra ordinarily rich country 2 decades back.

India is a poor country and cannot invest in projects that yield little returns - either financial or social.

The cost to run trains over 200kmph is extra ordinarily huge. Indian trains can be run however till 200kmph with relatively far lesser investments in track and signalling technology.

Good Initiative Below is the map which shows proposed and approved ones

India is forming Jv's with France and Japan.

Now we have to wait for those chi bots to come to this thread and rant, burn, cry and what not :D.

Keep dreaming。

As a matter of fact, I for one am firmly against any Chinese firm talking part in any such Indian project, for it is definitely in China's long-term interest to make her southern neighbour spend as much and take as long as possible building up its infrastructure。

Anyway, you lot wan't see a single mile of operational HSR in India before this decade is out,and possibly not even before 2015.

You people are so insecure of India giving competition to you.
India is going with Japan,Germany and France, not China. It is chinese who will queue up in India to build infrastructure projects for business.

Who wants chinese tech and pirated copies.

India is going nowhere。

Come back in 10 years and see how many miles of Indian HSR are in actual service then.

By 2023 China will have in excess of 20000km operating HSR built and run with the world's best technology.

A world marvel that Indians can't even dream in their wetdreams.

An argarian country can't produce enough onions for its hundreds of millions of dirt poors and has to spend precious little foreign reserves it has importing from its northern neighbour the most basic of vegs that even an 1diot can grow.

Onion is staple food in India, right?

A democracy isn't worth a piece of toilet paper if it fails to provide its people with the most basic daily necessity. A bunch of malnourished haggards with pea-sized brains is apt to elect the worst possible villains to positions of power。

Sorry, I forgot that Indians don't use toulet papers. They use their left hand. Or was it the right hand?

The biggest advantage of 200 km/hr trains is COST. They don't need ultra expensive mangnetic tracks to run yet will provide 1.5-2 times faster means of transport(over current system) at minimum cost.

Besides there r proposed projects for TGV type trains also coming up(although it might take sometime).

Here r ur 300km/hr train projects :

Stop eating raw monkey brain, and you will become a human being again and will quit blabbering irrelevant nonsense in every India related thread.

Sigh!....we have to deal with such scums here.

Chinese bots again ......

Pathetic losers who are afraid of India.
