It is a 7 phases election and 3 phases are in Ramadan this is making Muslim life tough by making them go out and vote in so much heat. If I can point this out being no one I think EC India has more capable brains then me to account this issue and reshedule.

Muslims make 25% population in India and due to communal violence they are against ruling govt so sheduling elections in Ramadan is the best way hindutava can deter them during heat waves of May.

Secondly farmer have wheat harvest on the exact time frame of voting and they are against ruling govt so this will also deter them.

Yes that is problem 12 noon and in sun. For hindutava it is a walk in but for Muslims they are fasting in that time and are without water and food.

How about Farmers who have to collect their crop in that time. Do you know how many of them committed suicide because of Modi's policies.

If you have problem at 12 noon (which is understandable) go at 4 or 5 pm...
If you can't take out 5 min for voting then you have no rights to comment on govt policy...
If your mindset is common in Pakistan then no wonder Pakistan has low turnout of voters

Polling starts early in the morning, those who wish to avoid queues can go early or go late in the evening 1-2 hours before sehri time as per convenience.

Election day means holiday, they are getting a free holiday while observing ramadhan!

Only ppl who want to vote early stand in line ,rest of the time polling booths will be empty. There is a good reason why voting is throughout the day, ppl can vote when they want.

Whats the big deal in ramazan ?
Muslims do eat everything in early morning.
And even in the month of ramazan, everybody is doing there daily choirs, kids go to school, shopkeeper opens shop, working men go to office, women is working at home. Nothing stops in that month.

No. Election commission decide the dates. Not the BJP. The 2014 general election was from April 7 to May 12 in 9 phases.
