I think everything comes from DRDO......., should let company do that, one bomb company will Continuous develop and updata new bomb to get order. DRDO will only make plan, then develop, then stop, then outdata, then ask another new plan, then call for people together, then begin develop again........ without Continuous work and interesting for a Semi-bureaucratic organization

Promising yes, but lets wait for the outcome of the development and how capable the weapon will be, especially since not even Sudharshan is ready yet.
Just read about a new SPICE version in the 250lb class, similar to SDB, that also can be fitted with quadpacks and that would be interesting for Indian fighters and in the long run we definitely need such a version developed on our own too.

Israel to field lightweight Spice 250 bombs


Since we already decided for SPICE 2000, SPICE 250 in a quadpack would also be an interesting addition to the upgraded M2Ks, or LCA.

Sell the parts of DRDO to PSU and PVT, then let them compete for order, without directely Competition， every one will become lazy and delay

It is DRDO who nurchered the pvt companies to actively take up Defence programs, Pvt companies cannot take up high end research programs as DRDO does. Pvt companies are only concerned of profit and DRDO does provide them with an opportunity to make money by letting them do what they are best at, Manufacturing.

People might only know DRDO for their delays and so called failures. But seldom are they remembered for how they improved a soldiers quality of life in harsh weather conditions and in the industry of pharmaceutical research.

Dont weigh DRDO with respect to Arjun and LCA, there are thousands of other projects DRDO takes up and completes efficiently.

2.AVIC(China Aviation Industry Corporation)，Luoyang Optoelectro Technology Development Center（it also post ＰＬ-9, SD-10）, post LT series Precision guided bombs: LT-1,LT-2,Lt-3,LS-6,CM-506KG，YZ-200。。。

If every nation could adopt a second nations strategy then we all would have copied USA in every field. But there is an operational environment or otherwise DNA of a govt which cannot be changed. DRDO is one big organization handling research and development in the country.

DRDO has competition in the form of international vendors which our govt is tilted towards. The very survival of DRDO is by making our govt realize that they can build a better or equal weapon system which the international vendor can offer. DRDO mostly takes up only closely guarded researches.

It is only today that DRDO and the Armed forces of India have been able to convince the govt that no foreign vendor could cushion our soldiers to the threat in our environment.

DRDO now faces competition in some of the fields, like Howitzers, Drones,Avionics,ICV's , Bullet proofing, aircraft design and manufacturing etc from Indian pvt companies.
