Disagree.

Bang. had the best, ... spurted too fast and is catching up faster.
  • Come back in a few and Bang. will be in the the top 10 for sure.
Bang can give the San Jose/Bay Area, Tri-State area or the Toulouse, sophia Antipolis et al. @ the French Riviera, Malaysian Super or Cyber Corridor or even the Hong-Kong-Canton-Macau-Shenzen agglomerations a run for their money.

Mark my words.

Lol. I always find it so amusing how we are quick to draw comparisons with tier 1 cities of the world, even though our cities are rotting in terms of public infrastructure. A few fancy roads, a big airport and a few kms of metro lines haven't increased the quality of life of majority of Bangaloreans. Fundamental issues in city planning and infrastructure are still as much there as in any other Indian city.

Take it or leave it, Bang.'s coming up nicely.
  • "A few fancy roads, a big airport and a few kms of metro lines haven't increased the quality of life of majority of Bangaloreans."
Rome wasn't built in a say, but what Bang.'s pulled off in the last 10 yrs. per above is historical. A big airport, few Km.'s of metro, 'fancy roads' never mind bus services, malls, fabulous wealth that Bang. pulls in $ dozens of Billions re: IT, Pharma and tech. industries and thanks to good academic eco-system, is scaling towards super specialization, ...lucky you you can focus on the glass 1/2 ;empty ;) !

The world doesn't have time for 1/2 types, so sorry.

Lol.. The reason why our cities still rot is because we are either busy blinding proclaiming ourselves as the best, or busy blaming it on our past karma. We'll never acknowledge a problem exists and ask for good basic infrastructure in our cities.

Even in 30 years if our cities manage to come close to the tier 2 cities of China or the Asian tigers in terms of basic infrastructure (bijli, pani, ghar, sadak), consider it an achievement. Let's not ridicule ourselves by comparing Bangalore with San Jose, etc for a loooong years...
