Supreme Infra Q2FY11 profit rises 52% to Rs 12.5 cr

Supreme Infrastructure Limited, one of the most Diversified infrastructure companies has posted a 52% rise in net profit at Rs. 12.5 cr for the second quarter ended September 2010, as compared to Rs. 8.2 cr in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company’s Q2FY11 Income stood at Rs.165.7 cr up by 47% as compared to Rs.112.7 cr in the corresponding period the previous year.

EPS rose to Rs.8.51 up from Rs.5.94 in the corresponding period in previous year.

Total Income for H1 FY11 stands at Rs. 350.2 cr vs. Rs. 219.5 cr for the corresponding period last year. Net Profit for H1 FY11 rose to Rs. 28.1 cr vs. Rs. 16.9 cr for H1 FY10 while EPS rose to Rs. 19.10 per equity share for H1FY11 vs. Rs. 11.78 for H1 FY10

Announcing the results, Mr. Vikram B Sharma, Managing Director, Supreme Infrastructure Ltd said “Order book growth has been the key feature in this quarter. We have added orders in the Roads as well as the Buildings Segment. We see robust growth in our order book position giving us good visibility for the next 3 years. Strengthening of Internal processes and creating an able work force during the past 1 year will result in timely and quality execution of order book creating and enhancing value for shareholders. ”

Key Developments:

* Financial Closure for Wada Bhiwandi Manor BOT Project and execution commencement for the same
* 30% QoQ growth in Order book. Unexecuted Order book stands at ~ 27,500 Mn
* EBITDA margins for H1FY11 stood at 18.4%
* The Equity Base of the company has increased to Rs. 16.74 cr on account of warrant conversion as well as preferential allotment of equity shares.

* Supreme Infrastructure is present in 7 verticals in the infrastructure space
* Railways, Bridges, Buildings, Power, Sewerage, Irrigation and Roads are the key verticals within the company
* Each vertical functions as a business unit, thus having increased focus on execution as well as order book growth
* Currently Supreme is executing about work at about 25 sites and is looking to start work at another 4 sites
* A key differentiator for the company is its backward integration model where the company has built significant capabilities in quarrying business giving it high control over aggregrates (a key raw material in construction).

Amanora Township is a unique, exclusive and the first-of-its-kind township project in Maharashtra, under the State Government's special Township Policy. The township is a project to build a futuristic India with areas and concepts designed to cater to everyone's needs within a family. A few concepts include, the Temple of Environment—the only one of its kind in the world—for everyone, and the 'walk to school' concept for children.

Amanora qualifies as the first township as per the guidelines of the Government of Maharashtra. It involves the developer creating and maintaining the entire infrastructure of the township.

The Government of Maharashtra has laid down a charter to qualify what defines a special "township", which is as follows:
• It must have a continuous land parcel of 100 acres, at the minimum
• It must make available abundant clean water supply, 24X7
• It must ensure reliable power infrastructure
• 60% of the area shall be used for pure residential purposes, and at least 20% as parks, gardens and playgrounds
• It must be well-knit by roads ranging from 30 ft to 80 ft
• Environmentally speaking, a special township ensures care of the existing ecological systems, rainwater harvesting systems, and efficient waste management systems
• It must have schools, college, hospital, fire station on the premises
• It needs clearances from a multitude of Government bodies
• It offers a 50% waiver benefit on stamp duty

Amanora is first township, which qualifies all the norms lead by Government of Maharashtra in the Township policy.
