($ 146 Billion = approx. $ 1460 @ x10 PPP re. India's infra. deficit,
inputs re. infra being mostly local labour, cement, steel, sand etc. @ least x10 cheaper )
How low-key professionals at IT companies like Wipro, Cognizant, others becoming the pivot for winning big-ticket deals - The Economic Times
Article says 10 million jobs. And Rs. 7.5 Lac Cr.'s.
1. Since most of said IT & ITES work is city work and came about in the last 15-25 yrs.; the industry must have soaked up the workforce in the cities.
2. Said Lac's of Cr.'s or $ 1.5 Trillion PPP mostly end up in the 1/2-dozen cities and since this is a travel friendly, expense based Global industry rather then mill hands type of city work earlier; it explains the quiet and evolutionary buzz felt in Indian cities.
3. New airports, malls, metro networks, new 'hoods, BRT's, expressways, flyaways, pedestrian skywalks, new bus fleets, taxi fleets, schools, colleges, hospitals, restaurants, theaters and all kinds of new 'infrastructure'; amazing because India is a rural votebank democracy. City folks have little say in the political system, maybe except slum and ghetto packers.
Different kind of revolution. No wonder Indian cities are on a tear. All good, fantastic even.

Arey Bhai .... is 22500 MW mein kitne MW lok sabha election ke bad construct hue ? ...I am a supporter of Modi , but come on ... be logical man...woh BJP minister bina logic ka batcheet kar raha hai ...aur hum log like idiots un baaton ko blindly follow kar rahe hain... hum bas hamaare egos ko gratify kar rahe hain... these projects have been U/C for several years and have been commisioned over the past year ...that's just about it. Modi is probably the best choice for PM at the moment...but we need a desperate reality check with regard to where we are, what the current govt is actually doing at the ground level and what needs to be done in order to ensure good economic growthNarendra Modi government has developed additional 22,500 MW of power within its first year of governance

My friend bought villa in Walfort Cityyeah bro i have myself experienced this pace....the land rates which were going around 900-1000 rs/sqft in 2004 have gone to 14000-15000 rs/sqft now....
this is the naya raipur masterplan
Naya Raipur or New Raipur is the new capital city ofChhattisgarh, a state in Central India.
Naya Raipur is located between National Highways NH-6 and NH-43, it is 17 km away in the south-east direction from the current capital Raipur; Swami Vivekananda Airport separates the old and new cities. Naya Raipur is serving as the administrative capital of the State and also cater to the infrastructural needs of industry and trade in the region.[1] Naya Raipur is surrounded by Raipur, Arang, Mahasamund, Rajimand Abhanpur, cities. Naya Raipur spreads over an area of about 8000 hectares. It includes 41 villages out of which 27 villages form the core of the Naya Raipur. During the renovation of villages for the construction of Naya Raipur, it displaced the population of one village.
About half of the total acquired land is being used for afforestation, roads, parks, public conveniences, water facilities-canals, green belts etc.; twenty three percent (23%) of the land would be reserved for educational institutions, government offices and public auditoriums etc.; and thirty percent (30%) of the land will be used for residential and economical purposes.
Naya Raipur would be India's fourth planned capital city after Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Chandigarh (Punjab & Haryana) and Bhubaneshwar (Orissa).
The city is expected to house about 4.5 lakh people within a decade. Provisions have been made for its expansion and to upgrade infrastructure in the future. (source-wikipedia)
