No one in the military is appeasing the Chinese. It is the one living in Janpath No.10 that is creating all the problems. Because of that one person and person's hoard of puppets, an institution like Indian Armed forces, the 4th ranked military force on this planet is being made to wear bangles.

There seems to be a great deal of speculation, heat, smoke and dust on this thread. And all for nothing. Chushul may have been dropped out of the plan for reactivation for strictly practical reasons, its location. It is too close to the LAC to become a worthwhile air-base. TTT may be able to testify to that. Check out the location for yourselves anyway. No worthwhile Air Commander will base major assets at a base that can be shelled by artillery pieces. However Chushul can and will operate transport aircraft like An-32s and Helicopters. As it is it, can operate An-32s, which means that C-130s can also stage out of there. Su-30 MKIs? Nada, that is what all the news actually means! Never mind the journalist-speak.

The Indian Air Force may not reactivate the Chushul Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) in the Ladakh sector of Jammu and Kashmir for the time-being. “Already, three other ALGs — Daulat Beg Oldi, Nyoma and Fuk Che — have been activated. So, at the moment, there may be no need to re-activate Chushul ALG. Also, Chinese sensitivities about the Line of Actual Control is an issue,” defence sources said.
The activation of ALGs close to the LAC will boost the defence preparedness of the country and help it in dealing with any eventuality. It will also “enable the IAF to operate in the inhospitable terrain of the Leh-Ladakh region in support of the Army”.
The IAF, for instance, is considering expanding the Nyoma ALG into an ALG from where all aircraft in the IAF’s inventory (including fighter aircraft) can operate. Nyoma is situated at an altitude of 13,300 feet. and is just 23 kms from the LAC which is the border with China. The IAF hopes to expand the Nyoma ALG in due course so that the IAF’s frontline Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft too can operate from it.
Another of the activated ALGs — Daulat-Beg-Oldi (DBO) — is situated at an altitude of 16,200 feet and is the highest airfield in the world.

100% true, mate. 100% true. Nothing short of Narendra Modi would be able to take this country to a great power status. He's taken Gujarat state equal to many of your cities in terms of GDP (skyscrapers are not the idea).
