@kaykay, I read a few reports of the 70's, which mentioned India had about 800 kg's of weapons grade Uranium in it's reserves this report probably was of the late 60's and early 70's and I remember posting it here on PDF a couple of years back, the most critical and conservative of all figures as to weapons grade Uranium possession with India presently is for making 1000 nukes.can someone shade light on India's current maximum nuclear yield?? I mean some years back It was said that India has ability to produce weapons of about 200kt....any further developments??

Now, the nuclear yield is a big question mark, but many sources again have mentioned that India can come up with 200 KT nukes - I can safely assume it's higher than that - but that's an assumption.
India's nuclear program is a huge secret with no one knowing how much weapons grade Uranium we possess (if it was 800kgs in 1970) I can estimate at least 5 times of that now - 4000 kgs, and also no one knows the max nuke yield that we can make, but then counting on the 5 decades of experience that we have in nukes I must say we should have much higher capabilities than what is discussed.
