India could seek foreign help for light combat aircraft

No Lockheed, Boeing, Sukhoi, MiG, Dassault etc are not making their aircrafts from scratch, but from technology they have gained by designing AC over decades.For ex. F-22 raptor stealth technology was gained through F-117 Nighthawk ,which is designed for stealth only and is incapable in a dog fight, and thrust vectoring through X-31 Vector.So the technologies were developed over time for different needs and in the end they have to make a balance of these in a single Aircraft.On the other hand LCA was to be designed from scratch as the only other aircraft developed indigenously by India is 2nd generation marut.And that too with restriction imposed after nuclear test.All in all ADA has done a commendable job in designing an aircraft from scratch even if it has some foreign components.As far as engine is concerned China even while developing AC from such a long time is unable to design a new engine on it's own so Kaveri delay is understandable.

F-22 and F-117 have no similarities at all other then the fact that they both are stealth AC. The Stealth concept are totally different, they dont share any flying characteristics, even the basics are no where close to similarities!
And what in the name of god have you come up with F-22 Thrust vector is a development of X-31!!!! just think a bit more and put some more thinking power in your peanut size brain that X-31 has totally different Thrust control then F-22. X-31 has more like a 3D control Pitch and yaw while F-22 has only pitch control! heck even the thrust concept are different! As for India designing LCA, thats as true as flying Santa in Christmas...

If only you had access to DISCOVERY-EXTREME MACHINES.
Stop reading wikipedia and go straight to discovery.com and type extreme machine.There you will find an episode which will tell you about how stealth technology of F22 Raptor was borrowed from F-117 and thrust vector from X-31.Stop making prates.

The only thing which should be concern is licence holding for production..which is India..

ahhhhh yes because its a joint project! you wouldnt find British or german saying that hey we made EF-2000 100% indigenous like indians like to claim about their LCA which is not even 10% indian!

There is nothin wrong if India takes some help from foriegn countries..

there is something wrong if India takes massive help from foreigners and refuse to give credit to whom it belongs! thats why i like to call "indians are credit choor".

There goes the myth of Indian "Indigenous Products" they also take foreign assistance but still they claim that its their product BUT IF we take some foreign assistance than that Product is completely Labeled as "Foreign Product" not Pakistani Product at all.

Many Indian Members have claimed here that JF-17 is a Poor Chinese copy of Russian Mig and there is NO Pakistani Involvement in this project but i want to tell one thing to my Indian friends here Our Jf-17 will be operational before your LCA.

as usual you never hesitate to post without thinking! JF-17 block-1/2 are 4th generation fighter while the 3rd block will be a 4.5! only chinese designate one generation less then what it actually is like 5th generation F-22 will be 4th generation in china. you are not chinese!

We had 4+1 JF-17 fly past in 23rd march and again in a month 5+ more will fly and how long it took india to put 5 LCA in air at same time.
