Come on man .... we do not need a small poverty stricken region and add more trouble into trouble. Bihar is a place which even Indians used to make fun earlier and there is a saying India would agree to give Kashmir back to Pakistan if it agreed to take Bihar as well.

Same goes with West Bengal as well. Some part of West Bengal can be taken but not all. If we need to take Kolkata as well then we will have to purify it first from people like Joe, Lalabong etc.

BS. Chinese, Russian, Japanese or even Indian (must mention it, otherwise some people might start bit*hing) surpassing US economy means nothing. The West's technological prowess will remain unsurpassed for a very long time. 2070? Lol. None of these countries can replace the likes of MIT, Stanford anytime soon. And all their top talent migrate to the West anyway.

Not going to happen until China's a superpower. It's like we're talking about 2200 AD or something, when China can do anything without fear of reprisal from the West. Then again, the current trend of increasing gap between India and China's economy must continue. China and Pakistan (if still around by then) can do the job of disintegrating India; we'll just grab whatever we can.

Try to be rational...It can happen anytime. We wont have to do much apart from seeing the drama. Already bengalis and muslims are close to 50% specially in Assam and they are treated badly by the BJP and kind.... So far BJP is playing divide and rule game with the tribal and Bengalis there. What we need to is that making sure a unification happen between Bengalis and Tribal and rest will fall in line. Do not forget in North East there are close to 80 insurgent groups those who are fighting for independence. Bengali muslims so far did not take part in any such activity. If they join with the tribal this will be game changer.

No country in the world can hold any land without the wish of the majority of it's people be it India or any other country. If Indian policy makers specially the foolish BJPs dont change their track no one can stop it to happen.

Instead of 2200 say it any time in between 2020-2050.

Nothing and absolutely...not a 1% of population in India thinks BD as an enemy.......See confrontation with some petty issues like providing shelter to anti national forces, border issues and such small small issues happens with every neighoring nation in this world...It is not called as enemity....

I think India and BD has trust deficit that needs to be built upon from the start....and we Indian has to really put the concept in the back burner about any role that India played in creation of BD...Because sometimes, this Indian role of BD independence creates unnecessarily false ego to we Indian people...For once and all, we should think that in this world, no one helps others without any benefit...So for our own benefit we facilitated creation of BD...Now we Indian has to move ahead and so also BD people...

Being a larger nation, i feel onus is more on India to settle the issue...The lack of political will should not be excuse for India to put India BD relation backfoot....Hence i feel India and BD relation is classic case of Indian diplomatic and lack of sensitivity towards its immidiate neighours...

Gains: not much, except finally knowing that we for sure have an enemy entity that needs to be dealt with.

Losses: Dont know, maybe territorry in North East? But highly doubt that considering how native Assamese Bodos rioted against illegal Bangladeshis recently.

That said, if PDF Bangladeshis general mood is anything like the common Bangladeshi towards India, than maybe it will be a good thing to once and for all be established as enemies and we can deal with you that way. Currrently, even if normal Bangladeshis are anti-India, the Govt isnt, which is what confuses our Bangladesh policy. If we know for sure which side you are on, which if Zia comes back in power in 2014 it will tell us, than we can at least deal with you appropriately as an enemy.

Though if there is so much problems Bangladesh is facing by being a so called "friend" or "stooge" or "dalal" of India (as many of your countrymen here put it), I highly doubt your problems will lessen by declaring yourself an enemy of India.
