That's Sputnik gibberish nothing else.

But there are some serious issues with the arjun. I know the mechanical and the systems we will get them right eventually. I believe the Arjun 1 doesn't have a belly hatch- is that true? Has that been fixed in the Mk 2?

Indian MOD is pushing failed projects like Arjun , LCA to battle ground just to justify there jobs .Good planning.

According to the Russian press agency website Sputnik, India, which is the main importer of Russian weaponry, will probably be the first foreign buyer of the new Russian-made main battle tank T-14 Armata.

Russia has unveiled its new-generation of local-made main battle tank called Armata T-14 during the World War Two Victory Day celebrations on May 9, 2015.

Russia plans to bring in about 2,300 Armatas, starting in 2020, to replace Soviet-made tanks as the T-72 and the T-90.

The key feature of the T-14 Armata is its unmanned turret, with all three crew members (commander, gunner, driver) seated in a crew capsule at the front of the vehicle's hull. The main armament consists of one 125mm 2A82A main gun and one remotely-operated weapon station armed with one 7,62mm machine gun.

The T-14 Armata is protected with steel passive and reactive armour and bar armour at the rear of the hull. To increase protection against modern anti-tank rockets and missiles, the T-14 Armat is fitted with the Afghanit Active Protection System which is able to launch counter-measures and create smoke screen to defeat guided missiles or RPG rockets.

Russia’s new T-14 Armata tank is going to get an even more powerful armament, as the next version of the main battle tank will be armed with previously rumored 152mm gun, revealed the official in charge of the defense industry.

Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin told Izvestia newspaper that next-stage Armata tanks will be supplied with already-developed big bore cannon and brand new projectiles.
India should hope it works other wise it would be great loss for Indian Army

False news

WTF? What's happening to FMBT/ NGMBT?

False news we will not buy more Russian tanks after the T-90saga

The Russian state media play this game a LOT- proposing defence sales to India that never materialise, I'm rather sick of reading about being quoted as fact when it is nothing more than wishful thinking.

It just isn't going to happen and we all know it- the FMBT project is already underway and the Arjun Mk.2 is entering service soon.

Armanta is the best armor around, so there must be place for it.
Myth, it is nothing but a showpiece that has proven to be a major disappointment in reality. It couldn't live up to all the hype preceding its production.

No major analysis is out right?

. . . .
Modi and future indian GOVTS are pushing indengious weapons.

We have just cancelled Rafale for this reason.

Future indian tanks will be Arjun and its successor.

OR as the indian GDP is much larger than RUSSIA.s we may buy the entire armata production line and technology and build in india post 2020 with india hardware /tools etc.

Well it will be a hell of a machine so if we manage to get a significant number of technologies we should join
+ we can supply the technologie which neither the French or the Germans have
