May be you didnt get what I meant to say. What I meant is its the bad servicing of Su30MKI that gave bad name to Russia, infact Malaysia was very skeptical of the plane after watching Indian fleet bleeding which almost lead to Malaysia pulling out of contract completely.

Its not just Malaysia even China got problems with that engine which they use in J10 which keep crashing due to it.

If a single case can impact the future sales prospects of deadly weapon just think can Russia afford to back stab its strongest ally? What signal it will send to other buyers? Will Russia be reliable anymore for any of them?

But then again, I for one find it very offensive when most Indian posters say how they can simply move away from a country that went on to send a fleet to cover for 71 war for Indians. You see incidents like these are irreplaceable and most of the young generation wont understand that. There is always sort of binding or obligation that cannot be ignored or dismissed like that

Mate, in 71 Soviets send the fleet, not exactly Russia. Soviet Union was a super power that time and Russia is unfortunately not. Infact whole 71 was done by blessing of Soviets, we both got used into the bigger games of US and USSR just like they are destroying Syria today.

If Bangladesh was to ever got independence I think they should have fought their way out of it. Indian covert intervention was encouraged by USSR backing and once you break a country into two their is no coming back. That war ensured India-Pakistan to be the enemy unless we destroy each other so much that we beg for mercy.

USSR got extra money to throw on poor states like India, just like US was throwing on Pakistan but Russia unfortunately cant afford that. Every superpower wins heart by spending money (even we win girls by spending money). Its the main problem and reason why Russia can never be USSR or superpower ever. (Though they are military superpower for sure, but they cant sustain being engaged into extensive conflicts for longer duration).

Secondly, no one needs to deny anything. Achievements are compared to something of that league to show if they were truly remarkable, Now Comparing that With Chinese, We (INDO PAK) got independence in 47 where as China and their revolution was quite later. Look where they are right now and where you are right now.

Indians do produce everything , From needle to crowbar , from fertilizers to tractors, from train engines to bogies , from rockets to satellites, from tanks to fighter jets and even Indian scientists play with molecules .

Pakistan cannot afford anything for 10 Bn dollar even during next 10 years. Unless A far less generous credit terms are being offers as compared to that of todays. You are very much right about the international contractual obligations.

There is a saying Interests are permanent...USA also send their fleet and yet abused on every nook and corner of Pakistan...having said that India-Russia rift is more of hype than matter...I see more and more collaborations...what has changed is the nature of dealing by both partners...which is unfortunately being taken as sour relations...

I have already tried to explain you, these defense deals are mainly because of the international relations.

We are having Astra, Brahmos and even work is being done on Nirbhay but still we are acquiring Meteor and scalp.

ISRO is making Rocket engines for space launches but still we Indians are buying .

Indian ship building yards do produce indigenously INS ships and Submarines and so far HAL has produced 29 planes and fighter jets. DRDO , ISRO, BHEL , OFB , ECIL, DRDL, BEL, Midhani etc produce everything.
