What's new

India consumes 48 per cent of the world’s whisky.

You mean eat dinner etc or like snacks?

Drinking and eating curries don't sound like fun

Never saw people drinking alcohol with food at home. Alcohol is normally consumed before dinner. Alcohol is served with dinner in high profile restaurants like in Western culture.

And yes it is also consumed with Namkeen(snacks), also known as Chakna.

Omg!

India's best rum is the old monk gold reserve. Pretty cheap, about 500 bucks a full bottle. Strong, smooth and not very sweet.

Try it out. With thumbs up. No hangover the next day. None.

An old fan.

P.S - try and look for Sarai Express vodka. Best Indian made Indian vodka. Smooth like hell. Good stuff.

Now old monk makes white rum too. Very good white rum. Better than hercules white rum. Try that too.

I don't drink much now. But I love a good drink.

Cheers!!!

The OP forgot to mention ,

Keralites drink 47.999% of this total :p:
and damn proud of it.

You don't get high on alcohol, you get drunk.
Higher enlightenment requires a more herbal concoction, preferably in tune with the ragas of sri snoop dogg :smitten:

Is this behind that r*** culture?

I was about to say the same thing. This extreme consumption reveals a lot about India.
