Why do Kashmiris need to wage a Jihad? They only need to chose whether they want to be with Pakistan or India. They've chosen that they want to be with Pakistan and are being oppressed for it by India as a result.
It's not that simple now, or is it?
History is witness, oppressed are freed only through tyranny of the oppressor, through external intervention and mostly through internal struggle and not simply through the good graces of the oppressor. It is not as if one day Indians will suddenly grow and conscience and renounce all claim to the land and it's resources, especially water.
It's the duty of Pakistani Government(s) and the military to liberate them but they want ceasefire instead.
How? By waging a war with India? Do you have any idea what a war is? It is not a walk in the part, especially a war with a country which is 8 times more populated, has 4x the military resources and atleast 15x financial resources. But let me paint you a picture what happens in an all-out war:
1. the enemy hits your DAMs and Utilities (No water, no power, no sanitation).
2. the enemy hits your fuel dumps and reserves (no transport)
3. the enemy hits your infrastructure, grid stations, power generation industry, bridges, roads etc.
So, 1 week into the war the bigger cities will either be without or with very limited water, electricity, sanitation, medical support, civic support, police & other law enforcement services; and under constant damage to its infrastructure. The country would fast be running out of reserves if not already out of it and hence no oil or other supplies (unless some friendly countries take pity). Disruption of supplies mean acute shortage of food and medical care amongst other issues. 2 months into his situation and even the most supportive of public opinion would swing against the Government that takes the country to war simply because the general population would be fed up of losing loved ones, parents, children etc., in a war with no victory. Unless there is some delusion that Pakistan can win a war against India as an aggressor. And I have not even accounted for military, financial and diplomatic losses!
After the war, and the loss, the situation on the ground would be so critical that holding the country together may become the biggest challenge because countries are held together either under a nation or through military means and we are NOT a nation.
