India clears plan for $3.10 bln second airport for Delhi

And I also believe India have very poor business management with regard to airports and harbours. We should have one IGI airport to be operated efficiently. For example, for 5th year in a row TN has topped in the list of Foreign Tourist arrivals. But the percentage of Foreigners through Chennai Airport is something like 9% , very low compared to Delhi and Mumbai and Foreigners have to complete their immigration in Delhi and Mumbai to find connecting flights to cities like Bangalore (which incidentally have high amount of business traffic). Should have more international routes to de-congest existing airports and Airliners are also to blame. Can you believe Air Canada operates two direct flights from Toronto to Mumbai & Delhi and there is no single Air India flight connecting directly to that country. No flights from Air India on Chennai- Kuala Lampur route too. Just shows a poor team running AI for the benefit of few corporate airlines.
I really hope building airports doesnt end up enriching a few people.
