India, China & the Indian ocean

It happened before. What did you think the uighur riots were? Terrorists attacking unarmed civilians. We put it down in 1 day. Terribly slow and the government was criticized for it too.

if mumbai had happened in ur country..u would have probably bombed the hotels and claimed victory..we dont do sucha thing...China care only about its appearances...

.
There is no possible way the operation would have taken 3 days if this happened in China or the US. Just no possible way.

Stop chest thumping about ur own country...Just be thankful that Mumbai didnt happen in ur country...and stop insulting our heroes..

.
China is not capable of power projection in Indian ocean on its own..so its trying to use Pakistan, SriLanka and BD...None of the contries except may be Pakistan will allow a chinese naval base in their land, coz they wouldnt want to face Indian covert operation in their land...
They are just going to leech resources from China using the India card..and do the same to India using the China card which is not a problem for us..

. .
It just wouldn't have happened.

First decide, it happened or not...and trust me if u had a neighbour like what Pakistan is to us...u would have 1000 mumbai's

Not debatable at all, the US Seventh Fleet is the largest forward deployed US Fleet. They alone can decimate the combined strength of all the navies in the region, whether we like it or not but the US Navy is the master of the global seas.

I principle, Indian Ocean belongs to everyone. In practice, Indian Ocean belongs to the US. We just allow Indian and Chinese ships to sail through it. The same goes with Pacific, include the China seas and the Atlantic and the Mediterreanian.

Isnt indian ocean the only ocean to be named after a country? Sorry for going offtopic.

The country was created in 1947... So its fair to say that the country was named after the ocean However, the origin of the name "India" is European. So it doesn't really matter.

No, it was actually Persian. Indians copied from the Persians. Don't let people tell you that India does not copy.

China is derived from the Persian word Cin. But how did the Persian word come into being ? :azn:

One of the theories
In the Hindu scriptures Mahābhārata (5th century BC)[19] and Manusmṛti (Laws of Manu) (2nd century BC), the Sanskrit word Cīna (चीन) is used to refer to a country located in the Tibeto-Burman borderlands east of India.

This is the current reality. Most military, including the Chinese, accept this fact. We all know that USN can deny Chinese access to Indian Ocean. The USN can deny any countries access to Indian Ocean, even the countries that border Indian Ocean.
