India is already on American side since biggest buyer of arms from europe and israel, US is trying hard to have a pond in asia who can stand against china, thats what india wants, but india become black sheep in neighbour.
Russia figured out that india is unreliable untrustworthy and unethical who betray anyone anytime.

Lol Modi "misjudged" Xi Jinping's friendship ... just like Nehru "misjudged" Mao's friendship? Come on, Modi knew what he was doing all along on the border, just like Nehru. Except only this time, he miscalculated the severity of the Chinese response, just like Nehru in 1962. Modi probably took China's restraint during the Doklam standoff for weakness and sought to capitalize on it ... oh boy how wrong he was.

Exactly. I don't really see India moving too close to the United States, especially in a military partnership because that would only show that India is reliant on the US and cannot manage her own disputes. After all, why would a self proclaimed superpower need outside help?
