As per Advocate Shah, the original advertisement of the bakery did not have the ‘No Muslim Staff’ on it but the image was circulated by the bakery to those who questioned who were employed in the kitchen.

If we go by your way of evaluating right and wrong , we would have to close mostly the halal network .

but as some Indians posted, culture, customs etc of Jains are well know.

Bakery owner has been arrested and Police must have talked to other people regarding this or when they went arrest him local people must have said something and after all he was arrested.

If it could be solved locally and nicely, then Bakery owner would not have lawyer up and go to court. He is behaving guilty as of now .

I see what you are saying!- I myself have a few Jain friends in Sowcarpet- I know that they are very picky- All that said- Its still wrong to advertise this in a communal way- (Eguating Halal and Haram is not the right example as Halal is part of being a Muslim, we need to respect that no!)- But again the establishment should have been more tactful in their response- for example- (The kitchen folks employed meet the standards for Jains/Hindus why just pick on Muslims?-They did not mention Christians did they?)

but here in india if complaint is filed its filed , the only thing police does is calls you and you have to go to police station to report . so all you have said about the police asking locals and all is something maybe occurs in pakistan .

your question why pick muslims isnt it??
because halal is slaughter of animals , and muslims are connected to it by means and religiously.
and jains in particular are strict vegetarians , and also limit non veg hindus to a extent .
but muslims are well known non veg i.e meat eaters ,

Nope wrong comparison- Halal is a way of life for Muslims- Its part of their belief system. (Just advertise that food prepared meeting the standards for Jains/Hindus).
