The fact that you could even come up with that statement speaks volumes about the level of ignorance here. It is a matter of common knowledge that nuclear weapons not only create a greater explosion (even a small 10 kiloton bomb can create energy same as 10,000 tons of TNT), but also the nuclear fallout can cause severe illness leading to slow death after days or even years of suffering. Radiation can cause genetic damage leading to babies being born deformed. It contaminates large areas of land, making it useless for agriculture for years or even decades. :

Firstly, the only two countries with whom India has major disputes are Pakistan and China. India is the 2nd largest arms supplier to Myanmar, largest aid donar to Bhutan and largest regional aid donar to Afghanistan, largest trading and military partner of Nepal and Maldives, recently signed a major defence deal with Maldives and extensively helped Sri Lanka in its war against the LTTE. We might have some disputes with our neighbors but that doesn't mean are "starting conflicts". LOL!

BJP is not India. That party has consistently lost general elections ever since Gujarat riots happened. But anti-Christian Gojra riots in Pakistan have happened and will continue to happen.

In 1998, UN inspectors released a report alleging Pakistan's nuclear trade following which 3 Pak nuclear scientists were arrested. A.Q. Khan was dismissed as Chairman of KRL in 2001 because US intelligence agencies uncovered his nuclear links to various nations and Taliban. And Libya went public about its secret nuclear program in 2003. Stop distorting fact.

And BTW, as you said, even Pakistanis doubted their country's ability to make nuclear weapons, but after Chagai tests, no one doubted the existence of Pakistan's illegal nuclear trade with China. Pakistan's nuclear trade is one of the world's worst kept secrets.
