We need narender modi as PM and everyone will be shown their correct position !!

I am Pakistani .

Yeah, I am too - a patriotic one at that. But I'm not afraid to admit the fact that my grandparents and ancestors were Indians. And I can bet you that my great-great-great grandfather (who has passed away) now has descendants in Modern India and perhaps they're Hindus, but we're still blood-related, right?

This is because you're interpreting that statement with a narrow mind. When someone calls you Indian, he doesn't mean the India - the next door neighbor - but rather the India from the old days. Our grandparents were INDIANS. And if you get offended when someone says that, then you need to open your mind and accept the facts. Foreigners often mistake Indians and Pakistanis from appearance because we look alike. And why do we look alike?

Absolutely right! Here in the US I have been mistaken for an Indian several times, however, it does not offend me.

As you said, our ancestors were Indian and some of the greatest respected Islamic scholars were Indian. So to be offended like the extremist Pakistani Nationalist is pure insanity. On the hand, we must also admit and accept the fact that that there are certain societies in India that despise Muslims and especially Pakistan with every fiber of their being, hence they are the enemies, and not ALL Indians per say.

In fact, my ancestors even fought against the British for the independence of India. Is there anything wrong with that? Of course not!

Foriegners mistake Pakistanis as Spanish, Whites & Arabs too. So???? You maybe having identity crises don't include all Pakistanis for God's sake.

My grandfather's parents were from Jammu. My maternal grandmother's family are from Jalandar. The rest are indigenous. I have nothing against Indians, but both of our grandparents moved to Pakistan for a reason. Politics, countries, and borders can be fickle, but you should not speak for all Pakistanis. All Pakistanis don't share culture with Indians, so your statement is generalizing at best.

Practise what you preach when the next time you pass of as Indian in the US to escape discrimination.

You dumb guy, I swear on my religion i never called myself indian, i had always introduce myself as Pakistani or American. I will rather die than call myself Indian.

i respect your patriotism but not all pakisanis think same who claim to be Indian just to avoid any discrimination due to their real identity

I was born and raised in the US, but I ALWAYS call myself Pakistani and not American or Indian

now thats bad, you should be more loyal to US..if you are not categorised as p@ki just because of your looks !!

Nobody is calling you an Indian for ducks sake. All the other guy is saying is that one can either look at the differences (which are plenty) or at the similarities (in language, food, music, entertainment, celebrations etc etc), and maybe the similarities will in future help to normalise relationship, you did not have to panic and get into your genetic defensive mode that ''somebody called me an Indian, i have no identity boohoo...''

Not that anyone other than other trolls take you seriously. It was fun when you were telling us on the other thread how indians are drivers and cleaners in the US but then i had to show you US census that shows indian families having 41% higher income than pakistani families in the US LOL. Dont abuse us, ppl like you are NOT indian, so relax.

Isn't it funny though, called an Indian -a gali, called by the correct name in UK - thats a gali too! LOL!

But you failed to get the fact in your head that there are around 4million indians in US while only 6-8lacs Pakistanis

ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST MODS TO TAKE ACTION AS THIS POST IS TOTAL OFFTOPIC & AGAINST FORUM RULES.

I have never claimed to be Arab, Turk, Japanese, or Indian. In fact I wear my green Pakistani T shirt when I go to my University. I've never for the past five years in the United States been mistaken for being an Indian.

You see its india and its gov its self that makes problems for its self and for others think about peace for once always talking sh_t about Pakistan and wars etc give it a rest how about friendship and peace ? you always say this and that and then give your self a a headache the sh_t is so funny to me unreal lolz.... realx look for a better way and then only way and the only is friendship and peace and i hope that happens soon .

.
i am lucky that my grandparents ,uncles and aunties were all born in india , and many of my muslim friends also feel lucky that their grand parents din't cross the border during the partition , by comparing the economic condition of india and pakistan , they really deserve to feel lucky.

So what you are telling me for? Time wasters.
