Buddy you can say that we learn from your mistakes we are not entirely bending to US interest..If we are, our soldiers will be in Iraq and Afghanistan..Yes we needed US for our economic growth but at the same time we also have healthy relationship with Russia and China and also China is the largest trading partner of India..

We had a lesson teaching war with China before China was recognized as a power by USA.

America or not, the truth is - we have to be prepared against China.

"Context" in which a statement is given makes a hell lotta difference my friend. Also these kind of statements in public keeps our politicians on their toes .. smart move by tha man i would say

Yes but unlike the Soviet War, Mujahideen from all across the Muslim world are not willing to fight alongside with india against China.

If india was smart, it would be trying to improve relations with China because it doesn't take a genius to figure out who will win in a China vs india battle.

If India wants to develop self reliantly everything we are more happy. We know each error in the development will lead to success. The defense analysis oppose it because they know there export will be affected by this type of development.

This news is to give the new kids on the block some giggles. No country in this world will ever openly disclose it's shortcomings. By reading this report if our enemy is smart enough they would take advantage of our defenceless situation and If they don't want to repeat history they would just take this article with a pinch of salt. I'd prefer few shots of whisky and 2 kilo of bakra to give me good night sleep without the fear of being massacred. "This is how we knock some sense in our leaders to get funds for defence."
