The Indian military is amply prepared to protect all Indian territory of course but that is not the point. The point is that there is nothing remarkable (at all) in these comments and whilst the chances of war will always be there, the overwhelming dialogue between India and China has been positive in the past few years and neither side actually is looking for war. Both nations are on the same page in the sense they want to be left alone to deal with their own domestic economic issues.
As much as the US/West and Pakistan want it war is very, very unlikely to occur between these two giants- both sides are lead by sensible and visionary leadership who are looking to the long term and not short term opportunism.
+ Let's not forget that the military in India have absolutely ZERO say on the national policies of India so what is the IA VCOAS actually saying that is so incendiary? He will look to do his job? The sad thing is this is the one comment that has been highlighted and covered and is pretty standard spiel but the actual meat of the conference (Make in India policy in the defence arena) where these remarks were made have received ZERO coverage and they would surely have made very interesting reading.
Must be another slow news day by the ever more ret@rded Indian media.
