Myanmar: No homecoming for Rohingyas
In Myanmar’s Rakhine state, hundreds of new houses have been handed over to families displaced by the violence of the Rohingya crisis in 2017. But none of the homes were for the Muslim minority group.

Almost two years on, there’s no sign the 700,000 Rohingyas who fled across the border to Bangladesh will be returning soon. Myanmar continues to deny its troops carried out ethnic cleansing and genocide.

The BBC's Myanmar correspondent Nick Beake has gained rare access to the affected part of Rakhine.

As far as I'm concerned this whole thing is staged between Myanamar and Indian govt. Seems very disingenuous.

The fact that all the families are Hindus says it all really.

This BBC reporter is on the ground and clearly showing who is inhabiting these proeprties, they are the Rohingya Hindus, a minroity of a minority. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt by the Myanmar govt to win favour with gullible people

The stranded Rohigyas inside India were enroute to Pakistan/Kashmir. But India is trying to push them inside BD, the sheer thousand number residing there. The real news is India repeatedly providing torpadoes to Myanmar, to destroy the negligible Naval advantage of BD over MM that comes from those two rusty subs.

And who told you that BD has fake GDP?

Electricity consumption, consumer spending, infrastructure buildup and wage growth support the GDP numbers.
