Another propaganda of theirs is that Pakistan started war with India on 3 December after airstrikes on India.

In reality, these strikes were retaliation for India invading East Pakistan with a whole brigade's worth of force supported with tanks two weeks before in November 1971!

This is the stuff of legends in Bangladesh. Our East Bengal Regiment Army seniors (some of them now gone) were witness to this scummy behavior in 1971.

Per my own conversation and recent exchange of personal accounts with several still-living East Bengal Regiment senior officers - Indian Army lined up several thousand trucks in Dhaka in early 1972 (EBR officers said the cue was about three miles long - went back to Elephant road from the Dhaka Cantt. gates) - and looted everything from Arms to even water faucets and window drapes from Dhaka Cantt. and carted everything back to India. Ditto with the other cantts.

The looted items were not just limited to arms and cantonment articles, they raided every industrial installation (The huge installation of Adamjee jute mills in specific and other spinning mills) and lifted off machinery amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars from every important industrial installation and also looted sugar mill machinery, jute mills, cotton spinning mills and power generation equipment and transmission items. They cleaned us off completely, we had to start off from zero again in 1972.

Just disgusting - and these people have the guts to claim that they "gifted" us our independence.

That I know of. Looted industrial machineries of Bangladesh as they left. We used to have a member here in PDF, MBI Munshi Bhai. He had written a book "The India Doctrine", with evidences of such looting.
