BTW thread starter, is that sort of self-realization or something like that? :s Last time I checked present day Pakistan was a British colony as well. So you should take Mr. Cameron in good humour now on. ;-)

It funny actually. People are complaining about trade deficit now but Britain had the biggest recorded trade deficit with India.

There had been no trade during that time. Only looting of subcontinent resource. British did some good things also. Mainly unification of princely states and centralization of power. Also gave us a working language for all Indian.

India(incl pak and bangladesh) benefitted from British??? Bull$hit how you people can forget the miseries our forefathers felt during the british rule and that is only 6 decades ago... Hindu-Muslim rivalries, caste division at the maximum, killing innocents,etc we were slaves to them all these benefits??? Did they built railway for the people of India??? no its purely for them for transport of goods and their people. Education and medicines were brought to India by the missionaries not the rulers. They looted trillions worth of resources... the poverty we have is the consequence of british rule.is that a benefit?? Hatred between Hindus and Muslims is that a benefit???
tell me one thing they(british rulers) did for the benefit of Indians?
yeah they brought railway and that doesn't mean if they didn't bring railway, we wont be having it. they didnt bring nuclear tech but still we've got it...
