India becomes world's 5th largest economy, overtakes UK, France

The standards of Economic measurements must be really "Retarded" these days or those inventing these "Economic measurement" models must be really big arseholes since I didn't know that a country with absolute filth everywhere, 600 Million people poor below poverty lines, pathetic infrastructure, zero welfare system, pathetic health system can become the 5th Largest economy these days!! :omghaha::omghaha: Wow this World has surely become so very DUMB and IDIOTIC these days! :omghaha:

Why do you believe that a large economy should also be a welfare state? I guess you have no understanding of what is meany by "economy" or what GDP represents.

I can certainly talk to you on Economics but to do this You need to get some basic Economic qualifications first before you can even start any discussion with me. Good luck with that.

In the mean time, as they say, the pictures are worth a thousand words! I didn't know that a giant shi.t hole can be classified as the 5th largest economy of the World! :omghaha:

Brexit. UK's GDP has fallen. World Population Review is more interested in population stats not economic. The Indian numbers are slightly inflated in this report. RAW again, trying to impress the Americans before the Trump visit.

If you knew what economy is you would have not shown pictures but facts. Not to mention cherry picked pictures taken at different heights and distances.

Lemme try this too!

India becomes world's 5th largest economy, overtakes UK, France: Report

February 18, 2020

India emerged as the world's fifth largest economy by overtaking the UK and France in 2019, says a report.

A US-based think tank World Population Review in its report said that India is developing into an open-market economy from its previous autarkic policies.

"India's economy is the fifth largest in the world with a GDP of USD 2.94 trillion, overtaking the UK and France in 2019 to take the fifth spot," it said.

The size of the UK economy is USD 2.83 trillion and that of France is USD 2.71 trillion.

The report further said that in purchasing power parity (PPP) terms, India's GDP (PPP) is USD 10.51 trillion, exceeding that of Japan and Germany. Due to India's high population, India's GDP per capita is USD 2,170 (for comparison, the US is USD 62,794).

India's real GDP growth, however, it said is expected to weaken for the third straight year from 7.5 per cent to 5 per cent.

The report observed that India's economic liberalisation began in the early 1990s and included industrial deregulation, reduced control on foreign trade and investment, and privatisation of state-owned enterprises.

"These measures have helped India accelerate economic growth," it said.

India's service sector is the fast-growing sector in the world accounting for 60 per cent of the economy and 28 per of employment, the report said, adding that manufacturing and agriculture are two other significant sectors of the economy.

The US-based World Population Review is an independent organisation without any political affiliations.

If you go visit this world Population Review organisation website, you will find it not using https protocol. Not so serious. Am I wrong?

No they are not. There is a differance between novelty seen in posh London areas like Knightsbridge, Paris on Champs Elysee. And the industrial scale use in India. Even Amritsar has them ...
They are pretty prevalent in Mexico and Latin america, some cities of China, Parts of Africa, Vietnam etc. I am not saying that they should not be replaced with something else but just telling you that a large number of countries do not consider them to be exactly inhuman.

Well, what about IMF, even they are saying the same.

No they are not. Historically yes in China etc. They are indication of extreme poverty. When a man is reduced to a beast. Nay his economic value is lower then even a donkey.

Looks pretty common to me.

They are indication of extreme poverty.
If you consider Mexico, Vietnam etc to be under extreme poverty well, may be.

You can call a shi.thole whatever you like dude.

Ask the 500 million Indians living in abject poverty.

You seem to be out of date on the numbers:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/indi...o-lead-world-bank.598776/page-4#post-11129373

Multi-poverty index poor:

India = 27.5% BD = 41% Pakistan = 44%

Pakistan basically ought to fix basic things like its infant mortality rate being a cpl decades behind that of India.

How far you got from this 'progress' since 1947. Mmm lemme see. Blow me but is Pakistan coloured same as India. Can't fcukin be? Can it?

Ditto:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/skil...ack-21st-century-skills.642522/#post-11884579

India Median wealth per adult (2019) = 3042 USD
India Avg wealth per adult (2019) = 14569 USD

Pakistan Median wealth per adult (2019) = 1766 USD
Pakistan Avg wealth per adult (2019) = 4098 USD

Pakistan ought to focus on getting its market cap approaching 100 billion USD again for starters to enter the wealth picture comparison (either average or median). It has taken a real hammering lately....and now its set adrift in the sea of double whammy high inflation and high taxation thanks to its oligarch elitist status quo set up that wants little actual free market competition.
