India become first Asian team to win a Test series in Australia and more stats from a famous triumph
It took 71 years for an Indian team to realise a dream no one else could.

"India scripted history winning their first ever series on Australian soil beating the hosts 2-1 after the fourth and final Test ended in a draw in Sydney due to inclement weather.
Coming into this fifth Test, India had an unassailable 2-1 series’ lead after winning the first Test in Adelaide by 31 runs and the third Test in Melbourne by 137 runs. Australia had won the second Test in Perth by 146 runs.
India scored 622 for 7 in their first innings and then bowled out Australia for 300 thereby enforcing the follow-on. However persistent drizzle washed out day five thereby keeping the victory margin down to 2-1."

All hail India the greatest Asian nation ever.

In a game some win some lose...but its a good time to celebrate if some old records are broken.
Cheers Team India

Congratulations to team India. Pinning my hope on good performance of Indian football team.

It should have been achived years ago. First rain saved the Aussies against Kapil Dev led Indian team during the 80s, then Parthiv Patel's pathetic wicket keeping saved them during the last day of Sydney test during the 2004 series.

Congrats guys.
I haven't been into cricket for a long time, but I guess your young squad did deserve it.

Rain is never a valid excuse.

And poor performance from one unit is all it takes to bring the whole team down.

The team as a whole has to perform and I guess that's what happened here.

LOL a depleted Australia without Smith and a few others. This is a very weak Australia.

Well, I'm not interested in cricket especially with Kohli captainship but this is a great achievement. Good work captain, congrats team India.

Go there and take advantage of the situation... sour grapes :P
It is the NATIONAL team of AUSTRALIA...

It is the Indian bowling which wrecked the Australian team... I would put it at par with the SA attack...

. . . .
they are a fantastic side.india gives so many chances to new young talent and finally they have best players.i am waiting for odi between australia and india.i want to analyze australia performance.they played very poor.starc and mitchell marsh don't deserve any more chances.also i think 4th test was the last chance for kl rahul.prithvi should open now instead of kl rahul.great side with two fantastic bowlers, bumrah and kuldeep.fantastic.
