India bags major power deal in Bangladesh, beating China

How much does Anu and Co. get from third party to protest against any development project ?

. .
good news. we need more power for our industries. more regional co-operation should be sought among BD india, pak, china and all parties. we should aim to develop and help each other together rather than bitching about what not.

.
The Indian gov told the BD gov to make certain changes to bidding clause like removing the requirement for the bidder to have at least one 500 MW operational PP abroad. BHEL didn't meet the requirement so the clause was dropped. ANd U have BHEL winning the contract. But at the end of the day BHEL won a contract in its own country in reality. @Genesis @Chinese-Dragon

.
Indian power plants have suffered from quality of many standard chinese turbines that undercut BHEL in earlier years.

Pretty sure BHEL used this evidence to help their case here.

I don't see how setting up a big power plant in the middle of a forest can be any good. Yes, energy is important, but not at the cost of your own health and well-being.

Besides, there are many power projects in Bangladesh through both private and government contracts whose financing and power generation exceeds this. So, let's not get carried away with idiotic nationalist sentiments.

Abey yaar it was bid.... Thread title seems to be put in for grossly misleading to readers of the thread....
Those who all are well verse with BIDDING business doesn't find anything " awe" factor in the news... Its simply a becoming L1.
Some more time will be spent by both the parties on further negotiations before getting provisional PO from BD.
BHEL might be getting ready for the POC/ Test bed to meet all its timelines for full fledge rollout activity...
All the high level to microscopic level planning will be in full swing at some corporate office of BHEL....

I want to see the idiot environment conscious people clean Dhaka's Buriganga and Sitalakha, Garbage, Pollution, Drainage and restore Bhawal forest before commenting on our Sundarban. And Anu pagla should oil in his machine to protect oil, gas, power, mineral when he became a naturalist.
