this opinion by India is nuanced vs what most are reading it as. it is no different than what the six nation talks said. They even offered Iran the capability to get heavy water supplied by the Russian's for peaceful nuclear energy purposes which Iran rejects. the premise is if you have a peaceful program then why not allow us to guarantee it will be only peaceful? You guys have seen recently Ahmedinijan proclaim that Iran does NOT shy away from building nuclear weapons-- all of these acts and proclamation are red flags.

What India has said no different than what six nations has said all along.

Israel is a matured country so does Iran, if provocations are minimal, co-existance comes in.. Being nuclear doesnt mean a bombing.. All need to know the necessity, I will honour u, u honour me, Dont worry, a nuclear trigger will let us no where in this forum, keep enjoyng n respect each other...

No one, including the USA, is opposed to Iran pursuing peaceful nuclear energy. That is a non-issue. The issue is whether Iran has a "right" to nuclear weapons. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, then many other nations, including the USA, will feel justifiably threatened. Iran doesn't constantly chant "Death to America!!" for nothing. So the USA has a "right", equal to Iran's, to try its utmost to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. It is a matter of USA self-defense rights, which the UN charter grants all member nations. The only question is how great a price Iran is willing to pay to achieve its "rights" and how great a price the USA is willing to pay to protect itself from Iranian nuclear weapons.

A country which allows US and Israel flags to be painted on roads so that people can step on it, where chants like 'Death to Israel/US' are as common as 'Good Morning', where their leaders make irresponsible statements like "We will wipe Israel off the map", which allowed their troops to take control of US embassy and held their staff hostage cannot be considered mature to have a nuclear bomb.

In every nuclear power, the nuclear 'button' rests with elected leaders like in US,India,Israel or military generals like in Pakistan. In Iran the control will be in the hands of an unelected mullah with no military experience and has a 'God Complex'. So by all means Iranian Nuclear Bombs will be the most unstable bomb. Its better Iran & the rest of the world if Iran has no bomb.

India has only supported the IRAN"s stand on peaceful purpose of nuclear energy. India has always opposed making nuclear bomb ambitions of Iran.
Iran has signed the NPT.. as a signatory it is obligatory on her part to allow full inspection of its nuclear facilities. Iran cannot be allowed to make bomb -- they can have nuclear plants for energy purposes.
