As to the Iran issues, most Chinese and Indian hold similair point of view. We could by cheap gas and oil form Iran now, why not? The more western sanction Iran, the more Iranian get dependent to China, Russian and India.

we don't care a **** about USA and NATO warning to decrease oil trading from Iran. let them get pissed off. Just buy as much as we afford.Iran is the last political independent country in Arab world, make sure it wont be taken down by west is extremely important. I really appreciate Indians standing ignoring pressure imposed by USA.

India can use this opportunity to attain a double digit GDP growth. Think about it: if you can get your hands on even 1/3rd of Iranian oil reserves for 1/3rd the previous price for the next 5 years, it's gonna be great for India's economy. Assuming the current Shia regime survives that long.

Well if 45% of oil payments can be done in rupees than Iran has to use that rupee reserve at somepoint of time to buy Indian products.

I like what have been suggested by many Indian and Chinese friends here but we must exercise caution. Not reducing oil imports means bad blood against India in the US.

I'm sure the mandarins in the South Block must have weighed the pros and cons of reducing oil imports or not reducing oil imports.

India has only one ally and that is India, though we have strategic partnerships with a lot of countries.

In Iraq we did the same when US sanctions were in place we bought oil for so called food and medical supplies
