If it is BrahMos, it will have to be the Mini version of BrahMos, the large 3 ton version is an overkill for most potential export
navies, especially if talking about ship-launched role.
no sam makes it sitting ducksactually we have signed already last year
very good looking ship !
no sam makes it sitting ducks
Thank you now china will increase it's defence co operation with Pakistan to counter and just to piss indian's of.Truly smart -.-
@Gessler I want to ask one question, are there any plans to make AAD for Indian warships- like Aegis BMD, which can also be used as long range air defense for warships.
“JOINT ACTION—2014C” in October 22.
We never want war,but we never fear about war.
and we train Indian army how to win the next land war against China. Win-win relationship
well, there are hardly weapons to be found with 100 per cent produced domestically. even the F-35 joint strike fighter has many foreign parts. America has lifted arms ban for maritime purposes. other US allies will follow. India can sell/provide us with weapons made in India and western allies.Well we should all be level headed, Its true India will find it difficult to export sophisticated weapons to Vietnam or any other country for that matter that are 100% Indian, without Russia(or Israel/West) being a part of it/JV etc. So this makes it quite difficult for India to supply weapons to friendly countries and further its interests. This complicates matter for India, since in this case the only weapons it can sell that are really 100% Indian made, it needs to give offer concessional loans/gifts/grants for these countries to even think of purchasing them(mainly because they have better options). This makes it more difficult because countries like Vietnam have better options like Russia from which most of Indian weapons are derived/produced under JV, so most countries like Vietnam will rather purchase them directly from Russia/ukraine etc.
In this case, India has to prioritize its own national defence industries, at all cost. Since this will not only provide India with the necessary know how/Knowledge but will also help boost its economy, since a large defence industry/military complex has several spin offs to other sectors of the economy. So this will have a multiplier effects of helping India Boosts its economy/defence industry and help it further its international influence/interests by exporting such arms to friendly countries, thereby solidifying itself has a credible world power in its own rights(without depending on others) like the U.S,Russia, U.K, France, China and Germany are doing today.
Im sure with proper planning/vision and determination, India can achieve this in the coming decades.
As for this deal, its good for Vietnam, since it has nothing much to lose, but everything to gain in such a loan/credit for acquiring some defence equipments to add to its inventory. Though its not really a big defence deal like the one Vietnam often signs with Russia and other countries. But still a good start.
we had some land wars against china and we won. the fear of a defeat will deter them before adventurism. even the most delusional chinese generals will think twice if they want to start another land war against vietnam.Hee, we wouldn't need that. We've already beaten them back in 1967 and in 1987. Only bad part was before that in 1962, which was our own political mistake, our govt. didn't plan that war well enough with the Army in the first place and paid the price.
Now that vietnam has grown stronger and started forging new alliances, they would think thrice.we had some land wars against china and we won. the fear of a defeat will deter them before adventurism. even the most delusional chinese generals will think twice if they want to start another land war against vietnam.
I don't know how you define "Victory",I just know vietnam lost more than China,no matter considering casualties or international strategy.well, there are hardly weapons to be found with 100 per cent produced domestically. even the F-35 joint strike fighter has many foreign parts. ask your chinese comrades. they seem to love wars as they think they are immortal. how many times they dream to bomb vietnam. let´s wait until someone holds a gun on their heads. personally I know what a war is like.I don't know how you define "Victory",I just know vietnam lost more than China,no matter considering casualties or international strategy.
War is cruel and bloody, even China or Vietnam,India have conflict now,I don't think war is needed. When I have spare time ,I usually read some books writed by somebody undergo wars,Nobody wanna experience one again.
When China was poor and in chaos in 1962 or 1979,Chinese Army performance well in the game.Do any War fanatics think now you can beat them easily?
