In India there is no question of an 'out of control military'. In Indian democracy, there is complete political control as per the constitution which is followed in letter and spirit, unlike Pakistan and China.

We have been peaceful with each other throughout history before british drew that infamous McMahon line.

Saying China has ambition against India and wanting to take indian's territory is just absurd.

During Qing dynasty, when Kangxi Emperor controlled Tibet, defeated russia in the north, killed those mongol separatists in the northwest, has he ordered his troops in Tibet invading india?

I supposed then it should be much easier since india has never been a united country but hundreds of small kingdoms.

So you see China historically was never interested in conquering india or take lands from india.

However, after british drew that McMahon line with the sole intention to take land from China (then Qing Dynasty) and inciting tibet local government to sign accord which China central government had never recognized, india should have been wiser not to use its colonial master's devious line/tactics to grab land from China by recognizing that line.

However, your premier nehru became so arrogant with everything he inherited from british was legal attitude since he thought his india got independence earlier, was stronger and China was poorer, weaker.

India should be the No. 1 in asia and there should be no problem taking land from China. He thought india should brought tibet under india's umbrella since his colonial master u.k. just showed him how things got done.

However, even though China was not interested taking yours, China would not be the sitting duck when india took China's.

We all know the 1962's result and it led to the downfall and demise of nehru.

If india did not change its attitude inheriting from its colonial master, the relationship between China and india will not really be back to normal.

sounds like india is trying to play that "hindi chini bhai bhai" tune again. the last time they pulled a stunt like that they had their fingers crossed behind their back the whole time. pretending to be a friend during the day while trying to steal your land during the night. if india do not remember what happened the last time, we can always remind them.

india can not be trusted, especially now since they are subservient to the US. they think now that they have american support they can try another stunt. well, i'll be happy if they do, because the PLA would be more than happy to put the smackdown on india again.

however, if the US regards india as an enemy like they do china, then becoming friends/allies with them is possible. currently, it is not.

India and China can be friends, in all honesty the relations between the two countries are much better and smoother than the respective forum members treat each other. The only solace is that 99.99% of the forum members are of no consequence in policy matters.
