India an important country, plays stabilising role: Hagel

The Obama admin are a band of worthless Marxist losers who are driving America to the ground day by day. I sympathize with patriotic, God fearing Americans whose country is being led astray by the these flip flopping leftists.

Shame that our proceeds to Republican camp bore no fruit. These democrat sissies have always been closet indian sympathizers

As for the speech - well he's probably been briefed to try to sugar coat and deflect attention to what he said earlier on indias treachery in Afghanistan - something which seldom goes unpunished

As opposed to Republicans who are openly pro-India? FYI Indo-US nuclear deal was negotiated during Bush's time. And more information: Hagel IS a Republican.:woot:

Could be?

But then again if history is to repeat itself, bharat will be on the wrong side of history (again) vis a vis Afghanistan and the region. Your experiment is failing miserably as can be seen

You look at a very small part of our history of tens of thousands of years.

For us, it was but a minor blip. Indian empires from deep inside ruled the areas now called Afghanistan from thousands of years back. As far back as Chandrgupta Morya and many more later.

Nope. If confronted by a similar choice we would take it 1,000 more times. We paid back the soviets and we checked hindustani encirclement. The costs were great but in the broader scheme of things there's nothing to regret (except the world abandoning Afghanistan and leaving us to take charge on our own). You on the other hand supported the soviet expansion - regardless of the wonton excesses committed on Afghans (which dwarfs anything the mujahideen/Talebs did)

You did no such thing.

You were a minor pawn in the bigger game that you were too small to even comprehend. Millions of you Afghans died in that Superpower rivalry, generations got destroyed, the country of Afghanistan lies in ruins, your own tribals are Talibanized and marginalized.

As Zbig Brzezinski said:

"What is more important in world history - a few stirred up Muslims or the fall of communism?"

Speaks volumes about the mutual hatred between Pakistan and india; the fact that we'd go through such great lengths to deny you any advantage in the western sector

It only speaks volume about the fact that in it's obsession about India, Pakistan has allowed itself to become a security state.

And alas, security is the last thing it got in the bargain!

You mean Khyber Pakhtunkhwa? Where militancy exists but has eroded to a large extent since 2009

Keep dreaming and keep busy in your God forsaken "NEFPs"

theek hai bhai, usse galti ho gayi..

and nefp's arent god forsaken..they dont face drones..

never said there werent exceptions....the late Richard Holbrooke wasn't a Republican; but Dana Rohrabacher (sp?) is.

nothing is caste in steel; we just see more eye to eye with the party generally - at least historically speaking. And yes I know about the civilian nuclear deal.

p.s. enjoy those pesky IAEA nuclear facility inspectors who will inevitably be monitoring your sites if/when the deal is realized ;)

Still I think the Democratic dilly dallying around the centre is what is moderating American opinion against Pakistan. Some examples: John Kerry of Kerry-Lugar bill fame(there is probably no better champion for Pakistani cause in US. He is Secretary of State now), Obama whose administration had gone past Osama's discovery without much fuss despite the academic and press circles heaping $h!t on Pakistan. The Republicans are more crazy and might have weighed in heavily against Pakistan. Other than Mitt Romney, can you drop some names of pro-Pakistan Republicans?

IAEA is free to monitor the civilian reactors.India has enough reactors to pump up fissile material production when needed. Waise there is only one country which even thinks of nuking India as a contingency. There are enough nukes for that country.

You expose your ill informed views above. Republicans favor Indians. George bush opened up everything for India. Nuclear program, military assistance...

It is republicans who despise you and its base is no fan of your religion.

Chuck Hagel has said that the original comment he made, as a civilian , years ago, at some college campus- was taken out of context.

I know you have "India makes me mad syndrome"- but at least make an effort to know your stuff before you post it.
