So whats the problem? Muslims are free to celebrate Eid however they want in civilised countries...but same cannot be said of other religion's festivals in most majority Muslim countries especially those that have put Sharia over everything else.

So anyone complaining that countries do not bend over backwards to accomodate Eid on the official calendar are being quite hypocritical. It is a decision left to the people of that country....pure and simple.



KSA and Somalia certainly dont, along with many other Muslim countries

Tell me which Western country has this kind of policy for Eid:

Ok compare Muslim Majority Countries that make Christmas as National Holiday (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Syria ....) and Western Countries who make Iedul Fitry as National Holiday (no one)

But according to my real life experience neither in India nor in GCC (according to our own muslim friends ) there is no such brotherly love .For Arabs ,Asians are just a second class citizen.In India people only cares about themselves .There is no such brotherly affection
Trust me they still prefer Indians than a Pakistani or any other people.
Because for them and for us , we are one.
