India alerts Bangladesh about Rohingya terror training camps in Chittagong Hill Tracts - The Times of India

NEW DELHI: India has alerted Bangladesh to the recent emergence of terror training camps for Rohingya Muslims in its Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) bordering Myanmar. Sharing intelligence inputs "from the ground", the Union home ministry recently told Dhaka how Pakistani terror outfits like Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) were allegedly training Rohingya rebels in camps spread across the CHT for "launching revenge attacks" in Myanmar.

During the just-concluded Indo-Bangladesh home secretary-level talks, the two sides discussed the need to arrest attempts by LeT/Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) to exploit the Rohingya Muslims issue to open a new front on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, close to India's north-east region.

Home secretary Anil Goswami is said to have drawn his Bangladeshi counterpart's attention to terror camps that have sprung in CHT region over the past six to seven months. These camps were witnessing terror training sessions by LeT and Jaish commanders, with help from local outfits like Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) that are linked to NGOs like Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO). Rohingya Muslims, according to Indian intelligence reports, are being trained in use of firearms and bomb-making at these camps.

Bangladesh has assured India it will verify these camps on the ground.

Lashker/JuD had in mid-2012 created a new forum, Difa-e-Musalman Arakan (Burma) Conference (Defence of Muslims in Myanmar), to mobilize support for an anti-Myanmar government campaign. A two-member team — comprising JuD spokesperson Nadeem Awan and JuD Publications Wing member Shahid Mahmood Rehmatullah — was deputed last August to forge covert links with like-minded Islamic organizations in Bangladesh and Myanmar.

Other terror outfits such as Harkat-ul-****** Islami, Jaish-e-Mohammed and JMB are also trying to exploit the Rohingyas' plight to establish new bases in Bangladesh. Jammat-ul-Arakan, a new outfit comprising elements of JMB and extremist-minded Rohingyan activists, is reportedly running militant camps in Bandarban district along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

Meanwhile, with the NIA suspecting the role of Indian Mujahideen (IM) or a local arm sympathetic to the Rohingya Muslims' cause, the involvement of an Assamese radical group in arranging the material for the bombs is being closely examined. Investigators believe that that not only were the timer clocks sourced from Guwahati, but even the cylinder may have been bought in Assam.

Bangladesh has had Rohingya insurgent camps for a long time.Bangladesh army regularly sends troops to dismantle them. But as a brotherly gesture Bangladesh Army sends informants to the insurgents to clear the camps before they launch an operation.Bangladesh Army then destroys the empty camps and take photos of them.A couple of days later the insurgents come back and camp there until the next operation comes.Bangladesh army has destroyed Chakma insurgency but has(to my knowledge) hurt a Rohingya insurgent!

Despite repeted appeal by UN and HR organizations, it is based on indian instruction Awami League stooge regime denied shelter to Myanmar genocide victims.

We should help them with weapons and money. So that they can uproot rakhains.

Supporting them with weapons is not an option any mainstream politicians would celebrate and there is a big chance of things getting out of control like they always have.
Regardless, a two staged covert war can be implemented to face both the problems. First, if the news is true, take out the insurgents using force and secondly, shelter the refugees with food and clothing whilst letting international observers in and at the same time keep an eye on them.

You can take example of Taliban and present condition of their supporters.

Question is why exactly the Malaun-state is burning? Who are they to warn when they doesn't even figure in the Rohingya issue. This malauns surely have a ****** long nose which they like to poke in every other neighbours business. The Malaun entity didn't have anything to say when Rohingyas got massacred now when they are willing to fight back, gaumata worshippers have started issuing warnings. F!lthy ba$tards!!!

To be honest, I don't blame the Rohingya's for setting up these "terror" camps. The barbaric massacre on the Rohingyan people by the ethnic Burmese is disgusting and savage like. Bangladesh has sent 2,500 mujahideen to the Arakan state, May Allah SWT help the brothers and grant them shif'a and strength.

No we did not. Go fight on your own personal initiative. There won't be any sate support for you lot.

Or more likely it will further marginalize the Rohingyas in Burma and backlash will be more severe on the innocents. The international community will also not pay much heed since the community would be blamed of fomenting terrorism. The only way to go is through diplomatic support, pressurizing them through the likes of OIC and UN to treat their minorities nicely. Or the neighboring countries who are worried about their condition can give them refuge. Helping any insurgency will have a severe blow back which you can learn from your big neighbor to some extent. :)

I've had first hand information from the brothers in Bangladesh who have told me that mujahideen have been sent to help the Rohingyas. Brothers who are previously affiliated with the East London Masjid and committees have gone to next to the Burmese border. About "No we did not", how the hell do you know?
